Swisscom is discontinuing old TV packages

Dear community

By the end of 2024, we will gradually replace the old TV packages blue Movie, blue Series and blue Family. Anyone who uses one or more of these TV packages will automatically switch to blue SuperMax and/or ** blue Premium DE**. The saved content remains and only the channels Pro 7 Fun and Spiegel Geschichte are deleted. With blue SuperMax, access to the streaming services Disney+ and Paramount+ as well as other series and film highlights is also included.

We inform all relevant customers via email which package they are switching to and what exactly that means. The prices change depending on the packages subscribed - some will pay less in the future, others more. Anyone who spends more than CHF 10 per month after the change paid, will receive the costs for the new TV packages credited for 3 months and can therefore try out the new products at no additional cost.

The TV packages blue Doku and blue Sport remain unchanged.

Best regards

JanineZ

As part of the change, only the series channels “Spiegel Geschichte” and “Pro 7 Fun” will be discontinued.

What then happens to the channels like Pro7 Fun or Spiegel Geschichte, which were only available with the old packages?

Since the boxes then run on Android TV, you then get the Zattoo app and subscribe to the pay TV there;-).

@JanineZ Now one could ask the question whether Spiegel is history. It remains in the Blue Documentary, that shouldn’t go away. I assume if the package should remain unchanged.

Hello everyone

Sorry, I’m completely out of control.

Currently or since the beginning I have subscribed to the following packages:

  • Blue TV L CHF 34.90

  • Top German+

  • Language package German+

  • blue Family CHF 9.90

  • blue Movie CHF 29.90

  • blue series CHF 9.90

  • blue Sport (DE) CHF 12.90

  • Blue super package deduction - CHF 3.00

That means I pay a total of CHF 59.60 for the options.
From what I read, I will lose the Blue Sport price of CHF 12.90 if the old three packages are no longer available, is that so? Which packages do I have to take so that I can continue watching Universal TV, RTL Crime and National Geographics? Will there also be a super package discount here?

I have to be honest, with the super package discount I booked the sports package according to the motto “nice to have”. Because for more than the Champions League, and I only watched 1-2 teams, I don’t need the sports package because my focus is on Sky Sport CH with the Bundesliga and Premier League.

Can you please give me an overview so that I can see what is being removed and what is being added and what is being included? I know where Blue Premium is and what the packages are all called, I saw a table with the channels and I can no longer find it.

Thank you for the feedback!

The three channels are all in blue premium for 19.90 p/m. inside.
You can find information about blue Premium and its over 40 channels => here

But before you subscribe to blue Premium, I would recommend switching from blue TV L to XL. It only costs 15.- more, but blue Premium is available on the XL for 49.90 p/m. incl. I would also take a look at blue SuperMax. 7 channels plus SKY Cinema, Disney+ and Paramount+ (annual subscription 24.90 p/month. 12 months minimum term can then be canceled monthly) or 34.90 can always be canceled monthly.

If you can forego exercise, you can save a lot.

With TV XL and blue SuperMax you have everything except blue Sport, “Spiegel Geschichte” and “Pro 7 Fun” are no longer available anyway. There is no substitute.

    My advice would be,

    • blue Family CHF 9.90

    • blue Movie CHF 29.90

    • blue series CHF 9.90

    • blue Sport (DE) CHF 12.90

to terminate in compliance with the notice period.

If the channels no longer come, switch to TV XL (49.90 p/month) and possibly add blue Super Max.

Another addendum. Here are the previous packages and where the channels are going:

    @Stephan_76

Yes, that’s how I did it too.

I only had Blue Sport because I had the super package discount of CHF 3.00 and actually only paid CHF 9.90 for it.

When you switch, the blue Sport package jumps to CHF 34.90 for an annual subscription or CHF 49.90 for a monthly subscription. That is beyond good and evil.

Thank you for your quick answers and for the overview of where the channels are going.
If that happens and I’m forced to change, the Blue Sport will have a negative impact on me.

I think almost CHF 25.00 more for a little CL is a lot.

The players earn more and more and the clubs have to pay that. That’s why the rights are becoming more and more expensive and so that this doesn’t become a loss for the buyers of the rights, in this case Swisscom, the prices have to be increased.

What do you do now? Hen and egg problem. If no one watches CL anymore, then no one wants to buy the rights anymore. But who believes in that? ;.-)

Why not write to the players from Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund that they are giving up their salary so that your subscription remains cheaper.
