Hello

Thank you for your tips. Iā€™ve tried all ā€œvariantsā€. Unfortunately I canā€™t get the tone control on the TV-Box 5 remote control. Is it possible that the Yamaha vsx-500 AV receiver (in use for 11 years) is simply outdated? Whether itā€™s incompetence on my part or the AVR is simply getting old, Iā€™ll look into purchasing a new one. For reasons of space, only an AVR Slim is possible.

Thanks again for the tips.

11 years in the technology world are quite something, but if it worksā€¦

My suggestion from experience would be:

- Cabling: STB via HDMI to TV, from TV via HDMI ARC (out) to the system (STB IN).

- Connect Swisscom remote control to the TV

So you should be able to control the volume on the TV via the remote control.

It is important that the Swisscom FB has a line of sight to the TVā€™s IR receiverā€¦

Greetings Stefan

We tested the Lindy with us and it worked perfectly. Of course not on all possible TV sets, i.e. I cannot rule out the possibility that problems may arise with individual setups.

Without Lindy do you have picture and sound on the TV?

The cabling is relatively simple: TV-Box <> Lindy HDMI IN <> Lindy HDMI Out <> TV set (and then audio via Toslink or Cinch)

Have you also tested different HDMI ports on the TV?

The module below worked for some users on the TV-Box 5.

I have connected the new TV Box 5. It doesnā€™t have an optical out like the TV Box 2.

    We have the following:

    Sony TV

    Bose Lifestyle48

    Swisscom TV Box 5

    I would like the following.

Use only one URC for TV and Swisscom.

Currently, in the TV settings, if the external A/V receiver (TV box) is to be linked to the Sony remote control, the provider Swisscom is recognised but not the TV box 5.

Secondly, the TV Box 5 should be connected to the Bose on the SAT/CBL with HDMI. When this is done, we have no audio only video. TV box -> Bose -> TV. Must connect TV box -> TV.

POGO 1104 The Bose Lifestyle48, which is actually no longer brand new, doesnā€™t seem to have HDMI šŸ™

@Gruplenauld43 there are a few possibilities:

      • Universal remote only works via the Swisscom Remote, as the Swisscom box uses Bluetooth, not IR.
Infrared universal remote controls are therefore out of the question.
However, the SC remote control is relatively clever (can switch source, control volume via infrared on TV etcā€¦).
You would then have to pair the remote control with the TV
      • The stereo system should then switch on when the TV switches on. This can be done either automatically (donā€™t know the BOSE) or via a master-slave socket, which switches on the Bose as soon as the TV switches on
      • From the Sony TV you would have to use the optical output to the optical input of the BOSE.
Lipsync problems may occur (shifting of sound and picture)

Itā€™s a bit of work, but should work.

POGO 1104 there are apparently I, III and IV versions of the LS48 - no idea if they all do the same thing.

In any case, I couldnā€™t find any HDMI on the connection pictures of the LS48, only on a kind of additional box, but I couldnā€™t say how it should be connected to the ā€œmain boxā€ againā€¦ The VS2 you mentioned is a ā€œvideo amplifierā€ - whatever that is supposed to be again šŸ™‚

However, this so-called VS-2 additional box is apparently part of the Lifestyle 48ā€¦.

But anyway - this BOSE part is slightly greyed anyway (coughā€¦) - I hardly think that the Box 5 and this BOSE part can ever really become friendsā€¦

          ā€¦.keep on rockin'

I installed TV Box 5 yesterday, but unfortunately I have not managed to get the box to stay online after switching off the TV (white light always on). I ticked the box in the settings - TV box - do not switch off, but it still keeps switching off (red light). After a 30-minute phone call to the Swisscom hotline, we have not managed to prevent the box from switching off. I urgently need this setting as I only listen to Internet radio and donā€™t want to have to switch on the TV every morning and then go back to the radio app, which is very inconvenient and the TV always has to be on otherwise I canā€™t listen to the radio, which wasnā€™t the case with the old box as it was always on (white light). So I would like some feedback on how to set the box so that it no longer switches off.
