According to the message I received, the update should have been made on October 14, 2024. However, I have not yet received any notification that the update has taken place. Did something go wrong?

Hello @Trachsel

It may be that the notification is incorrect. The update will not come on but from the date mentioned.

In Posting 211 wrote RomanE :

The updates run from Tuesday to Thursday, if the TV-Box is in standby, the box is updated every night. We don’t update on the weekend unless the box has activated energy saving mode or was otherwise disconnected from the power.

How do I know whether the TV-Box is on standby? As soon as I press the off button on the remote control, a red lamp lights up on the TV and the box. Is this standby?

Yes.

And just be patient, the update will come “from” October 14th - so it could also be the 15th, 16th, 17th or 18th…..

….keep on rockin'

@roku73 @Stephan_76 Apart from the fact that when using the Google App Store, their terms and conditions also logically apply, I would be interested to know how many of them have ACR (automatic content recognition) in theirs SmartTVs waved through.

Received the new update (Google) on TV Boy 21 today and lo and behold, nothing works anymore, picture failures on the running meter, support contacted 3 times, software reinstalled once, picture stable for 10 minutes, then failures again, picture comes on, then TV goes black again , at regular intervals. Technical support called in several times, problem not solved. Support is sending the new Box 5, hopefully this will solve the image problem.

@WalterB, Yes, that was done, TV and box were disconnected from the power for more than 4 minutes, no success.

Has a reset already been carried out?

During a reset, it is important that the TV-Box is connected via LAN.

@UrsSch

The setup is just the TV, the Box 21 and the PS5 without an additional soundbar, as the TV has a top soundbar integrated.

A Panasonic TV (new model) and TV Box 21, nothing more. The TV box is connected with the included HDMI cable and via LAN directly to the Internet box 4.

Everything has already been checked, support has not been able to narrow down the problem, nor has the technical department, so Box 21 has been replaced by Box 5.

I cannot activate it!

Hello everyone

I received the update yesterday and was pretty excited when I wanted to start Netflix. It’s almost normal that you have to log in again with every update, but the fact that Netflix keeps telling me for almost 45 minutes that my TV is not in the Netflix household is really annoying. I had to start the activation a good 8 times with email and cell phone until it finally worked.

But what I find worse is that it keeps turning the sound back on when I switch to the menu, which wasn’t the case before. I watch a lot of TV later in the evening with headphones on so I don’t disturb anyone when it gets loud. But every time since the update when I go to the menu it turns the sound back on.

Maybe someone has some advice?

Thank you.

Hello @Anonymous

Thanks for your answer.

the following:

- I have the Swisscom Box 21

- I use Sennheiser headphones, the RS195 wireless model

- The headphones are connected to the TV with the optical digital cable

- Audio is controlled via Sonos Arc

This all worked perfectly until the update.

@dolderb

As a test, remove the HDMI-CEC connection in the settings on the TV-Box and only switch on the TV via the direct IR coupling of the remote control of the Swisscom TV-Box and at the same time only control the sound via infrared, then it should actually a manipulation on the TV-Box can no longer indirectly influence the TV and/or the soundbar.

Depending on the existing device combination, the HDMI-CEC coupling of the new AoT firmware is still producing strange collateral damage, which is why I would recommend simply switching it off completely if problems arise until further notice.
