IB3 Synchronized for 1 week

  • Hello zame

    have the following scenario:

Constant synchronization of the IB3 for 1 week with a strong increase in the SNR.

    1. about 3 weeks ago

    How can that be?

    I’m grateful for any explanation.

    • The new FW has been installed. Let’s see if the situation improves.

You just have the booster on it and this version shouldn’t actually be rolled out. Let the router run for a few days without the booster so that we can see from the values whether everything on the DSL side is ok.

which I can’t think of right now, since I don’t have the latest firmware installed yet, I was in contact with phone support last Thursday… they told me I had to reset the IB3 so that the query for firmware would be executed.

    I did this.

This is just by the way…

At the beginning of the year there was one 😁… and yet there are signs of a BT when measuring (but only 50% certainty)

I see the first problems on December 18th, 2023. But after fixing the BT the stabilization was never removed. So none of our technicians did it. Anyways, I see really bad resyncs on 02/21/24. Important: Never disconnect the DSL line without switching off the router. These resyncs were then the trigger for the next stabilization level. Then on 02/24/24 resyncs again which has now led to further stabilization.

Now there is another Anschluss at UPK1 at the address and guess what, it has a BT. So it’s entirely possible that it’s getting in your way via the UP. The Anschluss has no interference, no stabilization, which means that the BT only negatively affects the bit rate there. There shouldn’t be any negative influence on your management, but I would still take a close look at the UP.

On these two days, at the request of the tel. Support reset the IB to factory settings due to the firmware update request.

DSL cable always plugged in never unplugged!!

to:- yes, that’s true, as far as I know, the Anschluss and the UP were looked at by Swisscom last year/ (I’ll research this this week)

The router has had the current FW on it since it was plugged in on January 15, 2024.
If possible, take a photo of the UP with the clamps. There are some species here who would immediately recognize something unusual.

Yes that is correct. What I wanted to say was that the current software was on it at the time and there was no update after the reset. But the FW matches the hardware revision. I’ll see an expert to see if I can push the new FW (I can’t trigger it)

Is it possible to reverse these stabilizations? Before that it was much more stable. no CRC available!!

That would be counter-productive. We (or the automatic system) only do this when the Anschluss is running smoothly.

It ran cleaner before than it does now… if I interpret that correctly: no CRC available!!!

      Thanks for the info.

I’m going to unplug the booster for 3 days this evening.

I’ll let you know how it goes.
