5 effektive Spartipps für 2023

5 tips to help you get 2023 off to the perfect start

Every year, we all make our New Year’s resolutions. Being more careful with money is a classic. However, most of us have little to show for our good intentions after a few months. We’re here to show you how to save effectively for the long term.

Lost track of your finances? Many savings plans fail due to a lack of clarity. That’s why the first step towards improving the health of your savings account is to make a budget. This shows you exactly where and how much you are spending in black and white. We also have plenty of tips for saving and earning money.

1. Buy second hand

We live in a throwaway society. Why not take advantage of this? Protect the environment and your wallet by buying electronics and other everyday items second hand. Our refurbished smartphones, for example, cost up to CHF 400 less than factory-fresh models.

2. Give gadgets a new lease of life

Have a clear out and easily sell any usable items online. Turn your old mobile phone, or even accessories like a novelty selfie-stick gift into cash courtesy of Swisscom Buyback for example. If you want to do a good deed, you can also donate or gift your old mobile.

3. Review your subscriptions

Hand on heart, how many subscriptions do you have? And how many have you forgotten about because you never use them? Between the Internet, TV, Netflix and Spotify, we’re often paying lots of smaller amounts on a regular basis. Instead of throwing money down the drain, go through everything and ditch any you no longer use.

4. Rent rather than buy

Do you really need every item in your home, particularly things you only use once a year? Ask around your friends or check out platforms such as sharely to find out what is available, then rent what you need.

5. Snap up some bargains

Special offers are often a unique opportunity to buy quality products for a fraction of the price. If you’re after something in particular, remember to compare offers. And click through our offers and discounts for accessories and smartphones.

6. Switch your cell phone subscription to Wingo (=Swisscom light) 😉

Important: wait for the corresponding promotion - there are new ones every month.

By the way, Wingo also works for Internet/TV - with a certain loss of comfort - but high savings potential 😉

@hed Not everyone has everything at Swisscom

I’ve had Swisscom at home for a long time and Salt for mobile for a long time. Now I’m switching everything to Wingo with the Wingo Black Friday deals

Even if I get hit for it now. If someone really wants/needs to look at their own finances and not at Swisscom’s profits:

blue TV switch to Teleboy TV.

Provably has better image quality, works on any Internet Anschluss, covers up to 5 parallel streams in the normal subscription and is less than half as expensive as a blue TV L subscription with a comparable level of performance.

The combination of Internet with Wingo and TV with Teleboy TV also works far better than Wingo Internet+TV, although it is still slightly cheaper.

@NilsL

I mentioned it because I always have the experience with people who have both with Swisscom, but had only activated SimplyDigital on mobile or the Internet and didn’t know that it was possible with both.

Switching to SimplyDigital should actually be the number 1 saving tip in the list of official Swisscom savings tips.

But it’s like in politics: everyone always wants to save, just not for themselves or their own clients 🙂

Super!!!

Thanks for these great ideas, but be careful if you sell things online. Never give your data or contact details to a stranger. I was almost the victim of a scam on Facebook with someone who wanted to pay me in advance with Paypal - but it was a scam! Be careful!

I bought a second-hand phone from Swisscom, with a guarantee that it had been emptied and cleaned. But it wasn’t. About a month later it died and no one was ever able to start it again. There were some passwords left and no one knew them. I asked to contact the ex-owner for clarification but I was told that it was impossible and that there was no longer any traceability. With the IMEI number this was possible but nothing was done and I had an unusable phone.

Thanks for the excellent tip.

Every year… we make good resolutions. Be more economical with money………

Already done!!! The extremely overpriced Swisscom Abo was canceled and joined the competition.

Savings 1,200 CHF per year. 👍

(Internet equivalent, TV equivalent, telephony much better. Almost free the whole world.)

Everything from 3 different providers combined together) knew how is the key.

Good ideas, but superfluous for me, I buy something when I need it or need to replace an old device! Note for Werner: not everything that is cheaper is actually more environmentally friendly!!

Your products > Internet

On this page there should be a field on the right where this is offered. Unfortunately I can’t show a screenshot of it here because I’ve already booked it, then the mask changes.
