Problem with "change channel" button

Since the introduction of compulsory advertising, I can often no longer switch back to the previous channel using the "Change channel" button with the TV-Box remote control. When pressed there is often no action (3x out of 4x doesn't work). The batteries in the remote are new and the box/router restarted. Does anyone have an idea?

Restarting the TV-Box (power off, wait 10s, power on) or FactoryReset (keyword paper clip) may help.
