Premium channels are no longer included in TV L, but are available as an option for CHF 9/month. can also be booked.

@“x”#22 Which ones are meant by this? Is there already a list?

I’ll pass on the point, we currently don’t have this listing online yet.

When channels are canceled and now cost extra.

Important to mention: Channel adjustments are omnipresent at blue TV and will continue to happen. According to the terms and conditions, this is reserved for us.

Regarding premium channels:

  • All customers who have used the premium channels regularly in the last 6 months will continue to keep the premium channels.
  • New customers and customers who have not previously used the channels regularly can subscribe to the channels using the Top Deutsch+, Top Français+ or Top Italiano+ option (CHF 9.-).

@DomiP

Only the original Swisscom Box (the one with the integrated smart speaker) is no longer available, the Swisscom Box 21 remains on offer (despite its unfortunate name).

If you now put a blue lid on the IP1800 and rename it the blue TV box, in my opinion the offer of the Swisscom TV boxes together with the TV app for other platforms is actually correct for all customers in the future.

@TiN2 So keep a box with one of these premium channels running continuously until May 23rd🤣.

@ThomasS For new customers you could charge the 9 Stutz additionally, for existing customers for years, even if the premium channels are rarely watched, they should be left as is.
How are Swisscom’s channels actually paid, based on the number of viewers/subscriptions?

@ThomasS With the TV L, the recording memory increases to 2000 hours, which is commendable. Am I correct in assuming that the archive storage will remain at the current 500 hours without any additional charge or will something change?

Good question, because what good are 2000 hours if you have them deleted again in 2 years?

Show original language (German)

@roku73 Yep, I personally don’t record much and archive even less, but the reduction in archive storage has caused some dissatisfaction. It would be a good opportunity to straighten things out a bit.

Blue TV L 2000 hours of recordings instead of 1200… at the same price (sorry 5Rp cheaper), still… until the replay surcharge comes, which I actually expected today, or have I overlooked something?

This reminds me of the goodie with the lead and follow-up times that no longer count as part of the recording time, to which the switch was made shortly afterwards to simply delete recordings older than 2 years.

But yes, complaining at a high level.

with that in mind, good night

Thanks for the information.

According to information on the SC homepage, 320 channels will be in the L subscription. So the channels that will be on it are known. I can’t quite understand why SC makes such big secrets about facts. The same at 1080p for the SRG channels. Either you are not technically capable, too expensive, no market.
Clear communication would save a lot of discussions.

How should the statement “used regularly in the last 6 months” be understood?

It is also quite possible that the channels are popular, but only for certain programs, for example, which may only be broadcast in the summer.

This is possibly correct, so in this case there would be no regular use in the last 6 months.

I can’t give you any information about that.

Yes, you see that correctly. It is listed accordingly here on the right-hand side under the TV options.

Yesterday was the press conference announcing blue. The contents of the homepage will all be updated on May 23rd. adapted to the new subscriptions. This also includes the channel list.

Regarding 1080p at SRF, there is a) already a separate topic: -bessere/td-p/670179) where this is discussed and b) of course we would say more if we could say more. But as long as that’s not the case, there’s nothing more to say. We inform you when we have something to communicate.

Will digital assistance support only be available via app or also in Swisscom Kundencenter via PC/browser?

Hello @Klothilde

Yes, the digital assistance, Sam, will also answer your questions on Kundencenter/My Swisscom Web and on swisscom.ch. If you use Sam in My Swisscom App, everything is a little easier because you can access your chat histories there.

And how can a subscription that is not yet available be a “bestseller”…?

  1. I forwarded this internally, thanks for pointing out that this is missing.
  2. This comes about through the automatic change of certain subscriptions. For example, if InOne Telefonie M has been a bestseller so far and is simply called something different, then blue Telefonie M is also a bestseller.

A whole multilingual PDF with the new subscription overview is on the page “Questions and answers” -> “Frequently asked questions” -> “How do existing Swisscom subscriptions change with blue?” to find.

Yes, you see that correctly. It is listed accordingly here on the right-hand side under the TV options.

@ThomasS Will there at least be an option in the future to subscribe to several +500h archive packages? Otherwise the 2000 hours will bring you next to nothing.

Not currently. I can’t say what the future will bring.

As of today, the changes apply to the private customer portfolio.

Swisscom is still feverishly searching for brilliant ideas to get the frequent technical problems under control. The people at Swisscom could possibly help, as they have now reduced the price of some of them by 10 centimes per month as part of the new subscriptions. (e.g. from Fr. 80.- to Fr. 79.90) 😉

Show original language (German)

Regarding premium channels:

  • All customers who have used the premium channels regularly in the last 6 months will continue to keep the premium channels.
  • New customers and customers who have not previously used the channels regularly can subscribe to the channels using the Top Deutsch+, Top Français+ or Top Italiano+ option (CHF 9.-).

Sorry, but I ask you to reconsider this approach!

We’ve been new TV customers since March and if Swisscom has double standards, then we won’t stay that way for too long. When the contract was signed in January, the premium channels were an essential part of TV L. Channels can change occasionally, but here we are talking about the loss of a complete package!

We have Internet L and TV L, if we are now migrated to the new subscriptions, then I will only have disadvantages and no advantages! Going from 1200h to 2000h of recording doesn’t help us, but the loss of good channels is a big disadvantage!

I feel extremely ripped off right now…

Furthermore, nothing about this 2 class society is mentioned in this tweet:

https://mobile.twitter.com/Tux0ne/status/1521484685720891394

However. Keep existing customers + packages free for now!

Show original language (German)

I think Swisscom would be shooting itself in the foot and triggering a huge shitstorm if it simply switches off or imposes a surcharge on all those who have had these premium channels up to now (including customers who perhaps don’t use the premium channels regularly). of CHF 9.- required.

Especially in connection with Apple TV, you quickly end up with another provider when it comes to TV offers.

The fact that the channel list is only available on May 23rd. is switched on is OK. That’s barely a month.

For SRG in 1080p we are talking about a year. It may be that it is not yet definitive as of today.

In my opinion, communication is needed as to whether this is an issue for SC or not. 3 Plus and Co. was launched within a month, at the same time as UPC and Co. It obviously went there.
