I am very happy with my VDSL subscription at 20Mb/s, but I would like to be able to go even faster!
Especially when uploading… I am an (amateur) musician and I regularly upload music.
When will fiber optics be available? We’ve been talking about it for a long time, but I think it’s really not going quickly…
SO? Swisscom? Good news for 2012?

Optical fiber is quite a project, it will not be done in one go, it will take between 10 and 15 years.
If you are in the center of a big city you may be entitled to it soon, otherwise you will have to be very patient.
The VDSL has not said the last word if you are near the central office, there will be improvements soon, but not necessarily on the upload.

These VDSL improvements interest me. Can you say a little more about it from a technical point of view? Is it VDSL2 or something else?
