Set up GMX account on iPhone (IMAP)

    Since yesterday I have an iPhone again. Before that I had Android for a few years.

    I use Apple’s mail app directly. My Bluewin accounts were automatically set up correctly as IMAP, including the correct settings.

    The GMX account, which is my main account, is only set up as POP.

    On all other devices I was able to set up this email address as IMAP without any problems, and I don’t like it if my iPhone then “swallows” the emails.

    I couldn’t find a way to set up the email address manually anywhere.

    As a precautionary measure, I have already deactivated the deletion of emails, but I still want the emails as an IMAP account.

    Do you have a solution ready if necessary? Thanks

    Server data for IMAP and SMTP - GMX Help

    These should not be mixed with the settings for Bluewin that you mentioned!

    This means you don’t need any information from Bluewin for your GMX account.

    I know the GMX data because I have already been able to set up the GMX account on several devices.

    The email address basically works, but it bothers me that the iPhone has automatically set it up as POP… And changing the account to IMAP isn’t possible since it’s a POP account.

    I just want to know whether you can set it up manually instead of automatically so that I can enter IMAP and the associated server settings myself.
