Smarte Helfer für heisse Sommertage

Smart devices for hot summer days

Summer’s on its way! High time, therefore, to get your home ready for the warm temperatures the smart way. We’ll show you which products are perfect for the warmer months – for a pleasant atmosphere outside and a cool head inside.

You will have already heard how a smart home can make your life easier. We’d now like to get you ready for smart summer days.

The perfect indoor temperature

We’re all guilty of it: leaving the air con on constantly at the height of summer and forgetting to switch it off every now and again. The myStrom WiFi Switch Zero with integrated temperature sensor has the answer. With the free myStrom App, you can easily set the cooling unit to turn on or off automatically when the switch reaches a certain temperature. Other useful smart devices include the Netatmo Urban Weather Station and the window and door sensors from Gigaset. These help to quickly detect open windows and avoid rain-covered floors, so you are ready for every summer thunderstorm.

Create the perfect atmosphere outside

With the battery-powered Philips Hue Go light and the Sonos Move smart speaker, cosy evenings in the garden or on the balcony are guaranteed. These portable products are also ideal for use indoors and will perfectly complement your interior décor. The Sonos Move, for example, can be perfectly integrated into a multi-room sound system for the entire home.

This brief list of potential uses for smart home devices can be continued and expanded as required and depending on knowledge. What are your favourite smart devices for the summer? And what ideas are you planning to put into practice this year? We look forward to hearing from you.

A simple fan is not exactly a “power guzzler” per se and from that point of view it can continue to run.

All the MyStrom nonsense, including the constantly switched on IB, probably consumes more electricity than the Venti itself 😁

I don’t use air conditioning or a vent, no matter how hot it gets in the summer. Both are definitely not necessary in our latitudes. Let’s be happy that it gets really hot for a few days, in 4 months at the latest we’ll be freezing again.
