Blue Max - Record, Replay, Live Pause

  • hello community

I would like to switch to swisscom TV and have the following two-part question.

    1
With the pay channels in the blue max package - you have/can do that with all channels
    - to record
    - replay function
    - live pause

I’m asking because I switched to Salt 2 weeks ago and canceled again today - despite their full-bodied promises, exactly these channels (Fox, RTL Crime, Syfy, 13th Street etc) don’t have these options 😕

But I know that some stations don’t have replays - which ones would they be exactly?

    2
tnt film and pro7 fun - I can’t find them anywhere - which is a bit of a shame - or am I missing something?

    Hi @manipulator

You can record and press pause on all channels in this package, but you only have replay on Fox and not on the other channels in this package.

You can find out more about individual channels on [this page here](https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/abos-tarife/inone-home/swisscom-blue-tv/sender.html#cl%5BdQ4nYVw%5D%5B%5D=addons&cl%5Bdevice%5D %5B%5D=tv&cl%5BdzPy2pg%5D%5B%5D=11614). Simply scroll down a little and click on the individual channels, or of course change the filters above.

TNT Film and Pro7Fun were not included in the new packages when switching to blue. The reason for this is open rights negotiations. So it’s possible that these will be added later, but I can’t promise you anything.

If you are looking for German Pay TV channels with replay, you are better off with UPC!

With its new Blue+ package, Swisscom has managed to no longer offer certain pay TV channels. Unfortunately, Pro7 Fun and TNT Film are included.

UPC includes over 40 pay TV channels for 15 francs a month in the premium package, which is honestly cheaper than Swisscom TV or better said blue TV.

Sorry Swisscom, that’s just my honest opinion.

When it comes to free TV, Swisscom is a lot better than all providers in Switzerland, but when it comes to pay TV, I would say no!

    Show original language (German)

    yes, you are definitely right.
In that respect, I was better off at UPC. But I’m away because they still require a coax cable. Until then, I had laid a 9+6m cable across the apartment and I didn’t want that anymore (the box and TV are in separate rooms). I saw the really cheap offer from Salt and switched without doing much testing (colossal mistake, in every respect!!)
I hope that Swisscom moves forward and takes on more channels.
The replay is not available on Blue Max, I can live with that, as long as the rest works.

ps. I asked the upc store whether everything would be wireless (i.e. everything via the network) - unfortunately not in sight…

    Show original language (German)

That was also the sticking point for me when I decided on Swisscom. I also didn’t want to have tangled cables.

There are already 2 cables leading into the apartment and these are the satellite cables and they are enough.

    Show original language (German)

I had problems on certain UPC channels.

That was because of the long coax cable that I had to lay and the Eurosignal (pager) at the Swisscom headquarters next door.

Now I have fiber optics and a LAN cable to the TV box.

Unfortunately, I still have problems with the Swisscom Tv Box and have to restart it regularly.

This is probably also due to the Eurosignal, as I have already replaced the box.

I’ve had problems with devices before, e.g. DVD players.

    Show original language (German)

The stupid thing is that I can’t provide every room with satellite reception. I’ve never had more cable clutter. Of course I would be independent and it would be if I didn’t subscribe to Pay TV for free (free TV channels), but at least 2 rooms are supplied with Sky satellite.

Swisscom had the best solution ever with wireless TV transmission in the various rooms because it is IPTV and not the way UPC works, making it easier for customers.

At UPC, some of the channels are also IPTV, but some are also broadcast, i.e. via coaxial cable.

UPC has wanted to switch off broadcast for a long time, but older customers in particular want to get by with a remote control (which is also possible, but complex to set up) and not a box standing around. The TV has a tuner, so it is easier to set up the device. I also do this for my old mother.

If UPC Komplet switches to IP like Swisscom then I will let you know as quickly as possible.

I had a long conversation with Swisscom earlier, so things are looking bleak for the channels TNT Film and Pro 7 Fun.

According to one employee, “the channels will only continue to operate under the old contract. New contracts have not been negotiated and therefore the channels will no longer be operated in the future.”

Empty promises 😞 now I know where I stand at Swisscom…

The worst provider in Switzerland when it comes to pay TV! Really a shame.

    a month later

Why are the two channels blue prime and stars listed as SD and not as HD channels on the blue max channel list? This must be a mistake, right?

I currently still have blue movie and am wondering whether I should switch to max. For CHF 10 less per month I have more additional channels with max than with movie. So where’s the catch?

    Show original language (German)

I intentionally switched from Teleclub to blue Max and Doku!

10 channels are not always included in the new package…

(Cartoon Network, Bommerang, Junior, Disney Junior, Heimatkanal, Romance TV, TNT Film, Pro7 Fun, blue Retro, blue City)

If I had the old package I would pay 50 francs.

But since I receive 6 of these 10 channels on Sky Satellite, it doesn’t make sense for me to stick with the expensive subscription.

Seen this way, I would now only have to do without 4 channels.

(Disney Junior, Pro7 Fun, blue City, blue Retro)

A small loss but I save a whole 20 francs and it’s worth it.

    Show original language (German)

The catch will be Blue City and Blue Retro and you will no longer be able to receive TNT Film and Romance with the change. The almost entire series package is included except RTL Crime and Passion, which were included in the TV L package. Pro7 Fun has been completely removed.

Ok, thank you for your answer.

As I found out earlier, the channels blue prime and stars are only available in SD, in contrast to action via max.

I find that very special because I have been receiving this channel in HD for many years via the movie package! So switching to max is currently out of the question for me. Broadcasting in SD these days is a joke!

    Show original language (German)

I actually wanted to switch to the new blue Max package.

But the fact that the channel blue Prime and Stars should now only be broadcast in SD is a joke.

    Show original language (German)

    1. It’s in the online channel list from blue max –> filter by HD channel and you’ll see it!

    2. At first I thought it was a mistake…but yesterday in the chat and then on the phone, because I couldn’t believe it, it was confirmed to me!

And where does your information come from?

    That’s not the case.

How do you come up with that??

Take a look => [Here](https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/abos-tarife/inone-home/swisscom-blue-tv/sen der.html#cl%5BdQ4nYVw%5D%5B%5D=addons&cl%5Bdevice%5D%5B%5D=tv&cl%5BdzPy2pg%5D%5B%5D=11614) under additional packages blue max

Both Prime and Stars are labeled as SD only. The topic has already been addressed Here. Albeit with other channels. But it’s really chaotic.

Possibly @ThomasS can shed some light on whether there is an error and report it to those responsible so that the information will be revised.

    Show original language (German)

I don’t care whether it’s SD or HD as long as I don’t pay more than 30 francs for pay TV.

When I think back, I have canceled quite a few packages in the last 4 months. I simply no longer fixate on Swisscom. I will also cancel the entire TV in a year. I’ve already invested too much money in this company.

It is correct: The interface that supplies the channel list on swisscom.ch is currently partially faulty. This is why the quality/package allocation is sometimes incorrect.

The relevant team is aware of the problem and will work on it in the coming year.

Alternatively, the channel list in My Swisscom Kundencenter can be consulted.
