MyStrom PLC: What performance? Usable?

I was using a Devolo 550 Duo system which worked reliably and without problems. I had a speed of around 100 Mbit/s in my apartment. Following an offer from Swisscom I wanted to change to a MyStrom 2000 kit thinking that the bit rate would be higher. I am very disappointed:

- bit rate barely higher than Devolo

- unreliable system; loses synchronization after a few hours of operation, requiring a reset

- highly heated equipment

- announces the absence of PLC connection after desynchronization (control test with Devolo is positive)

- impossible to restart synchronization after loss, requires a reset

Does anyone have any experiences with MyStrom PLCs?

The quote unfortunately does not contain any answer to my problem.

- Has a MyStrom Powerline 2000 user ever measured the actual bit rate achieved across a link?

- How reliable was it? Operating time without having to resynchronize the link?

- What does the indicator light on the adapters mean when it is in permanent red mode (no indication on this subject in the user manual)? For me, the permanent red mode occurs during a desynchronization (change from solid white to flashing red then permanent red).

In summary, the feedback is not great and the 2000 in the name is pure marketing. Relatively little information on long-term stability.

Hi,

Personally, I do not recommend PLC, any brand combined…

To have the best possible signal, your adapters should ideally be on the same power phase…

Devolo have this system which works quite well according to a colleague:

This system works on all 3L,N and earth of your installation.

But if you have a Swisscom Box, you will certainly have better results with Wlan-boxes, especially since they have released the new generation which should work very well with the IB3.
