I get the Internet via a D-Link router and a data SIM card from swisscom.

I suspected that I would have to make do with this disadvantage (ease of use). We didn’t install a swisscom box because of the costs. You don’t need the TV enough for this.

I’m a Samsung fan myself, but everyone will say which brand is the best after using it.

That doesn’t matter, every modern TV set usually works with the Box21 without any problems. I recommend using a branded device and not some no-name manufacturer

I’m not a fan of any brand. If I need a new TV again after 10 - 20 years, I’ll buy a common brand/mass model that’s available for little money and will be good for many years. The main criteria are energy efficiency and simplicity, i.e. a minimum of features.

@WalterB That’s probably no longer true. If a new device is put into operation on Anschluss, you will be charged 5CHF/mt if the multiroom stream is missing. automatically offered for completion. You don’t have to subscribe to anything in the customer center. This also applies to other devices such as Samsung or LG TVs or Apple TV boxes.

To add another TV-Box you no longer need Kundencenter. If I remember correctly, the KC was never needed for this. Attach another box and click through on the TV and it’s done.

We have 2 TVs each with its own box; box 1 and box2. Box 2 seems defective. Remains stuck on white LED. The TV set receives a single channel with no possibility of intervention. Urgent problem for elderly person convalescing on CMS monitoring

Box 1 works well.
