Routing problem to 'swisscom.ch'

  • Hello community!

My setup: Fritzbox 7490 router with activated IPv6 via the 6RD tunnel protocol.

My problem: The connection from an Ubuntu Linux computer and a Windows 7 computer to Swisscom.ch is not possible. The error message ERR_CONNECTION_RESET is shown in the browser (Chome on Linux and Windows and Internet Explorer on Windows). ‘$ping6 swisscom.ch’ does not arrive. ‘$ping6 google.ch’ works very well. On the RIPE website (ripe.net) I see that I am sending with IPv6. Routing to ‘community.swisscom.ch’ works in any case. But this is only because the traffic is not sent via IPv6… As soon as I switch off IPv6 in the Fritzbox settings, access to the Swisscom homepage works again. The ‘$ping swisscom.ch’ also works wonderfully in this case.

The question for you: Can you confirm this phenomenon for me? It would also be interesting if one of you also has a Fritzbox at the start. Of course the behavior with an IB is also interesting.

I was now finally able to fix my IPv6 with the MTU 1472 setting (previously with MTU="" I couldn’t access an IPv6 page at all), but now I can no longer reach the swisscom.ch page either: [https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Internet-Allgemein/IPv6-6rd-MTU/m-p/641943/highlight/false#M60868](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Internet-Allgemein/ IPv6-6rd-MTU/m-p/641943/highlight/false#M60868)

So before, nothing that was IPv6 worked, but swisscom.ch did. Now everything else that is IPv6 works, except swisscom.ch.
