Swisscom blue TV im Ausland: Schau deine Aufnahmen in der App

I will use the app abroad in the near future. Is the remote control on the app then deactivated? or is there a risk that I turn my TV on/off at home? Can I deactivate the remote control on the app?

@AndyU

This risk actually doesn’t exist because outside of your home network the FB function has no connection with the TV-Box.

To do it intentionally, you would first have to connect to the home network via a VPN connection and then consciously start the TV-Box using the remote control function of TV Air - this doesn’t just happen by mistake…

With the remote control function of the TV Air app you can control the TV-Box remotely, without WiFi and without VPN. I can even see on the app which show is currently being watched at home. But you have to do this consciously, it doesn’t happen accidentally.

Since I completely disconnect the TV-Box from the power supply when not in use, I also have double security against unintentional startup.

The reason for my request was because while watching Air TV I accidentally pressed the TV instead of the Air Play symbol in the top right and then started the box and TV in the living room. The two symbols are also relatively close together. Of course it wouldn’t be so nice if I was abroad on business and the TV suddenly came on at home.

It would also be worth mentioning that when you confirm the power bottom in the Air app remote control, the box switches off but the TV (Samsung, 8 year old) disconnects the anynet connection and continues to run in TV mode (cable network). I then have to switch the remote control on and off using the correct TV box.

If you are single, the question arises as to why you leave the devices on standby at home and waste energy unnecessarily when you are not at home.

No, I’m not alone at home, of course all standbys are switched off during family vacations. Obviously the on/off function on the virtual remote control is not identical.

Hello!

I have the same problem as @ma_tinguely except that I haven’t traveled for months. I have the TV air application, but I still tried the trick from @Doremi, thinking that it would solve the problem: without success. “For legal matters….” is always displayed; no matter what channel I want to watch “live”. This thing is still weird! What to do? Thanks for your help.

Hello @“x”#553063 and @Leimitzo81, thank you for your contributions.

In addition to the answer from @Doremi, can you also test TV Air on another internet browser and check that you are logging in with the correct Swisscom Login?

Thank you for your feedback and have a good afternoon,

Good day

I have Swisscom TV with Teleclub and Sky. So far I have been able to record and play programs abroad. It hasn’t worked for 2 days now. This really annoys me because I want to see my FCB tomorrow (delayed).

Can you help me…!

Thanks and greetings

Doesn’t work for me (Android). I downloaded a movie via WiFi, then turned on airplane mode, but I couldn’t start the movie.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a solution?

Thanks

Last time it didn’t work for me in offline mode (flight mode). Maybe there has to be at least a connection to a mobile network?! then playing the downloaded recordings worked.

So on my Apple I can view all the content from the “Download” folder without any problems in airplane mode or without the Internet (roaming is not activated abroad). Relying on “mobile data” cannot be a solution abroad, as I wouldn’t need to download the content and could start it directly from the recording list. Depending on your cell phone subscription, this can be quite expensive. Does anyone else have the problem with the Android app, or is it more general? @JoelV, do you know more about it?
