It’s best to simply reserve one on the pre-order page at Apple (this is best done at 6:00 in the morning) and as soon as you have one, cancel it again at swisscom. Then go to the Apple Shop and get your iPhone there, extend your Swisscom contract and benefit from the loyalty offer (costs exactly the same as with Swisscom directly), and the problem is solved😊👍 It worked great for me, I now have my iPhone 7 Plus 156GB Jetblack and didn’t pay a cent more😊

Otherwise, I’m assuming there’s nothing you can do about it. Swisscom can’t help it that it doesn’t receive any or few devices from Apple. They look for themselves first (an Apple employee confirmed to me) and there is a huge rush. But if you want to know exactly, I would ask the hotline. It’s possible to cancel, but I don’t think you’ll be able to claim the difference to the loyalty offer.
It is more than understandable that Swisscom customers - in contrast to customers of many providers at home and abroad - still have no idea, even 10 days after the official start of sales, about how long they will have to wait until they receive their new phone Circumstances that may be sent are, in my opinion, a real failure for the largest IT company in Switzerland and any annoyance is certainly understandable.
I’m not a lawyer, but if I’ve read the comments on this page correctly, it’s definitely possible to buy the new iPhone from another retailer (Apple, Digitec, Mobilzone, or whatever they’re called) and get the benefits there too to use the loyalty offer.
I see from the comments that this is usually relatively easy to do - sometimes you just have to call around a bit. But the price seems to be the same for most others - except for the parallel imports from Digitec.
The immediate contract extension only seems to be a problem if you choose a different provider (e.g. Salt, or something like that)… keep in mind that next year and/or the year after that you will have it again with the same %& *ç you will have to do.
Good luck!
So I don’t think Swisscom can do anything about it. I know some people who have an iPhone 7 in their hands. Of course they are not Swisscom customers and I am now also considering whether the higher subscription costs and generally higher costs are worth it. We have 2 infinity subscriptions and the Vivo package, which Swisscom is probably not interested in because they only give advantages to new customers.
I smile every year at these threads in all the telecom provider forums.
Every year the same game, every year frustration…
Why do you do this to yourself?
I have NEVER pre-ordered an iPhone anywhere and have always had a new iPhone of my choice no later than a week after it was released.
The tactic worked again this year and I bought my silver iPhone 7 Plus with 256GB in the Apple Store in the Glattzentrum on Saturday.
I’m sorry, but I definitely don’t trust any of the CH telcos when it comes to ordering iPhones…
@Tomcat
So far I have never had this problem with Swisscom. I received my new iPhone in the mail just in time for the release. So I just did what I always do and pre-ordered it from Swisscom. This time it really went wrong. Until recently, I didn’t know that I could also get the loyalty offer from Apple. Now I know, and have learned from it for next time in 2 years and will do it that way again😊👍
@sem
Above all, I meant that the SC can’t help it that the devices are apparently not being delivered or are only being delivered in small batches. What I find really bad is that there is no information about when the device might come. So it could be in the mailbox the next day (obviously you often aren’t informed about the shipment at all or incorrectly, we’ve had that a few times here too) or it couldn’t arrive until November. And this uncertainty is sometimes the worst thing in my opinion. Especially when you consider that all the other advertisers can give an approximate time. Really disappointing from SC. That’s why I was tired of waiting. If I had the information that it would take 2-3 weeks, I would have waited!
@micfil what…already 1000 comments in a short time…the new iPhone seems to be popular. Thank you…I’m happy even without confetti. By the way, this is the first forum in which I’m so active.:smileyhappy: It’s just nice here and very informative. There are too many from the Samsung faction hanging around in other forums and I can really do without stupid comments. Here we are among ourselves and that’s a good thing.:smileyvery-happy:
