This is available in the menu on the Internet Box Standard and Plus.

As already mentioned, this is available on the Swisscom Internet Box and is also set there in its own menu; nothing is set on the blocked devices.

Netgear is not just Netgear… There are devices (routers) that can do something like that and those that can’t. So it depends on the device/model. And no, you usually don’t have to install anything on the end devices.
I don’t know the apple group’s devices exactly, but afaik they also offer various settings for restriction. Just look:

Tip: Talk to your son, do something like draw up a “contract”. This means he commits himself to turning it off at 9 p.m., a good foundation for later and you have less administration. Later it is 9:30 p.m….
The computer does not replace the missing communication. This applies to companies as well as to families.

Child protection cannot be bypassed using the WLAN switch on the Internet box!
The WiFi switch has nothing to do with child protection.

There is a new beta firmware which improves a lot. It is important that there is currently no direct support, but here in the community you can get some information as the beta is already in use by several users. The beta version has also worked for me without any problems so far.

If that’s the case, that would be a huge mistake - but I can’t reproduce it myself.
If I restrict Internet access for any device using “child protection”, then I can press the WLAN button on my Internet box as much as I want, Internet access remains blocked for the affected device.
Important to know:
The “child protection” does not work via WLAN, but rather the Internet access itself is blocked (regardless of whether LAN or WLAN) for the affected devices

That’s how it should be, but it doesn’t work for me.
