Indeed the VPS was something practical. But it was also only available for a few channels which are not the ones causing the problem today.
Some channels are real disasters when it comes to scheduling. But I find it a little unfair to put all the blame on the one who displays the schedule given by the channel and carries the signal when it is made available.
Automatically detecting the real start of the film and removing advertisements in a video stream are also technical challenges for Swisscom. It is by knowing the reliability of the channels that we know how much we must add to the recording to be certain of seeing the end. For me, 30 minutes later is a minimum.

But there is always the possibility of adding the time you want for all of your recordings by going to the Home menu of the box, on the toothed wheel and in Recordings you can configure the additional time you want but it will be for all recordings.
