“Unlimited” recording vs. max. 30 hours or 1000h

    Well, theoretically you can record an unlimited number of programs. However, only 30 in total, or 1000 hours.

    However, the “unlimited” is a rather clumsy choice. 30 hours is far from being “unlimited”.

    I can still understand that “unlimited” means 1000 hours. It is common today to talk about unlimited, but there is a limit in the small print.

    I understand it like this: Unlimited number of recordings in parallel (or of course only as many recordings as you have channels) with a maximum total capacity of 30 or 1000 hours (depending on the quality).

    The swisscom newsletter from March 5, 2015 says:

    Swisscom TV 2.0 has been successfully established on the market for almost a year and already has over 400,000 customers. Swisscom TV 2.0 plus Customers now benefit additionally: They can now record 200 hours more programs - a total of 1200 hours. “After this increase, customers can record more than six times as much as with the best offer from the largest cable provider,” says Marc Werner.
