Installation of Centro Grande before the launch date

  • Hello everyone

I received the new TV-Box and the Centro Grande today. Until now, a Netopia router and Swisscom TV with a black box were in use. The activation date for Swisscom TV 2.0 is Monday, April 14, 2014.

My question: Can I install the new router in advance or do I have to wait until the launch date? Then on Monday I would just have to “unplug” the phone and connect the new box.

    Thank you very much.

    • No, the Centro Grande was also delivered to me when I wasn’t yet on All-IP. So he can actually do both.

      Greetings, Thomas

Just out of curiosity: which Centro Grande did you receive? Motorola or Pirelli? Should be on the back of the router.

    Hello,

No, you should wait before changing the plug. From the netopia router to Swisscom TV 2.0 you still have to switch to All-IP. This should be switched on first before you move the router.

    Greetings, Thomas

ps: The Centro Grande should also run without All-IP, so you could plug it in and put it into operation. “It’s worth trying”, nothing should break…

    Hello Thomas

Thanks for the prompt reply. I’ll try to get “kluch” over the weekend.

    Hello Denis,

Wasn’t there another post from WalterB? He also thinks it’s probably better to wait. That’s right, you’re still on copper and not glass, right?

    Greetings, Thomas

    Hello Thomas

I have received an email with an additional answer, but when I want to look at it the message appears: “The message that should be accessed was not found”.

Yes, I’m still on copper. Well then I’ll wait until Monday. Is it the case that those who are already using a Centro Grande will also receive a new router?

    Greetings, Denis

    No idea.

At the back it says: V226N1W / Manufactured by ADB Broadband S.p.A.

Spa. I think it’s the Italian term for stock corporation. Italy = Pirelli?

Yes, but you were faster and so I deleted my post again.

But you read that right, I would wait until the Anschluss is switched on because with the new router all filters etc. are no longer necessary and it is even possible that the performance will improve a little.

As for the double posts when creating them, I had already made a suggestion that when editing a message appears that this post is currently being edited.

If one wants to write a little more and the other person writes less at the same time, this post will be posted faster.
