Questions about the functions of the Rousseau

Hello

If I have MultineLine:

Can I have two calls (regardless of incoming/outgoing) with the Rousseau base (and two handsets), especially both via the main number? In other words, do I have more “ISDN functions” here than via the two analog ports of the router?

Basically:

Can I make internal calls?

Does the Rousseau Base Station support DECT fallback?

Actually it should be possible (http://www.cat-iq.org/userfiles/file/CAT-iq%202.0%20Certification/DF_CAT-iq%20Questions%20and%20Answers_2011.pdf )

Does anyone have experience? What features are available?

We have 5 Siemens Gigaset S1 Color - and they actually do their job well.

Greeting

Philippe

What exactly is supposed to trigger this DECT fallback? I can’t figure it out in the FAQ.

In any case, almost all DECT handsets can be registered to the Rousseau base station. However, they will not have access to the (ridiculous) central telephone book and the call list will not be handled synchronously either.

Ok, thanks for the explanations.

I thought maybe Swisscom would block DECT compatibility…

(EDIT) Do you have experience with internal communications?

They don’t block it, but:

compatibility
The operation of analogue or ISDN handsets on the base is not recommended
the range of functions may be limited or completely missing and satisfactory voice quality cannot be guaranteed.

In case it doesn’t work properly, you’ve of course got yourself covered 🙂

EDIT. INT works between Rousseau 300 and Gigaset S68H

You can register practically any DECT telephone to the Rousseau 10 base station.

For certain functions such as the central telephone book, the device would have to be CAT-iq Standard 2.0.

You can only give the base station a static DHCP lease if the DHCP server supports this.

Hi TuxOne

I already have a DHCP on the domain controller, but would like to use the DHCP from the SwisscomRouter.

Only with the Centro Piccolo I didn’t see that I could assign a static DHCP lease, on the Business it still worked… it’s probably the case that this doesn’t work with the Piccolo

Thanks for your input, it actually worked, even with a relatively old Gigaset 🙂

The main thing is that Swisscom knows what it is actually selling

It seems to me more and more lately that they don’t really know this 😉

The range of IP telephones they have for private customers is also enormous.

You can’t put everyone there…

😉

That’s right, you can’t see the base station because of all the phones:smileyvery-happy:

DHCP on DC: completely according to MS best practices he he he

hehe^^

Best practices would of course be something else^^

My server can’t handle more than 4 quarter machines, but it’s enough for home 😉

If I use 1000 mAh batteries instead of the included 750 mAh batteries… Will the phone or the charger heat up?

If the charging current is not higher there is no problem!:smileywink:
