Loyalty offer - tablet instead of cell phone?

  • If I select a tablet instead of a cell phone from the loyalty offers for a contract extension in Kundencenter, I get the message that I do not have permission to view the loyalty offers. I only get the message when I select a tablet. That’s why my basic question: If I extend my contract, can I get a tablet instead of a cell phone at a discount? Thanks.

    • You can’t benefit from a loyalty offer on any tablet, not even with a data subscription.

The loyalty offer only applies to voice devices (excl. tablets with telephony function) to enable customers to get a new voice device at reduced rates.

Business customers used to be able to get the first iPad as a loyalty offer. Logically, the next iPhone would soon come onto the market. > Customer calls, unnecessary endless discussions, threats to change provider, etc. because the iPhone could no longer be purchased at a discount!

The consequence. It is no longer possible…

Thanks for the reply. Your logic doesn’t quite make sense to me: SC shouldn’t really care whether they give me a tablet or a cell phone at a discount, the main thing is that the contract is extended. But I’ll call when I get the chance…

Thanks for the feedback. I just ordered an offer from digitec for a discounted purchase when a contract is extended. They also offer this for tablets and apparently clarify this with the providers. Let’s see what comes back.

I have now received the following offer via digitec: Dear customer, Thank you for your inquiry. Below you will find the offer for the extension you have requested.

    Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000, 16GB - WiFi + 3G - Gray

    with your existing subscription

    for 12 months 499.- instead of 569.-

    for 24 months 329.- instead of 569.-

    Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000, 16GB - WiFi + 3G - Gray

when changing to NATEL infinity L

    for 12 months 439.- instead of 569.-

    for 24 months 279.- instead of 569.-

So the option does exist, but via digitec. The meaningfulness of this remains an open question.

Since Swisscom always acts as one company, not everything is always easy to understand 🙂

In this case, you receive the loyalty offer from Swisscom Mobile as a service provider and not from the Swisscom Shop as a seller.

Of course, other sellers who work with Swisscom can offer the loyalty offer. They simply ask whether your number is eligible for a loyalty offer and make their own offer so that the calculation with their commission still works out for them.

Of course, internet providers like Digitec etc. can often offer their devices cheaper.

You know that. The services are simply not the same as in this case at [Swisscom](http://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/mehr/swisscom-shops/guarantee services.html).

Since the service provider Swisscom Mobile is interested in satisfied customers, wherever the device comes from, it now offers many tools and auto-configurations. So if you don’t rely on the services of the Swisscom Shop and any support, you will also be happy with other sellers.

This also explains why the range of devices in the Swisscom shops is limited.

The Swisscom Shop simply does not offer contract extensions on tablets. What other sellers do to you is their problem…
