VPN on Linux

Hello,

I'm trying to use the L2TP VPN on linux but I'm not able to connect. Can someone share the configuration? I tried different settings and different combinations of algorithms but nothing works.

Solved: UBUNTU VPN | Swisscom Community

Select Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP).
Enter anything you like in the Namefield.
Enter Your VPN Server IP for the Gateway. (Public IP or DDNS Name)
Enter Your VPN Username for the User name.
Right-click the ? in the Password field, select Store the password only for this user.
Enter Your VPN Password for the Password.
Leave the NT Domain field blank.
Click the IPsec Settings... button.
Check the Enable IPsec tunnel to L2TP host checkbox.
Leave the Gateway ID field blank.
Enter Your VPN IPsec PSK for the Pre-shared key.

I had already followed that guide but it does not work for me. I will try that configuration on Ubuntu, maybe the problem is on Fedora but i doubt it.

It will be awesome if @Tux0ne could share the logs of the successful connection with:

journalctl -u NetworkManager.service

and the VPN configuration file that he can find it in the folder:

/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections

Hi,

If the solution didn't work, going into PPP Settings and unchecking all authentication methods but MSCHAPv2 worked for me.
