@OldOx

Hello OldOx

Then you have to do the configuration manually. It requires DHCP option 60 and VLAN10 for the fiber.

[https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/hilfe/geraet/internet-router/strangrouter.html](https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/hilfe/geraet/internet-router/ foreign router.html)

“In the router configuration menu, DHCP option 60 must be configurable for the WAN interface and set to 100008,0001. In addition, the VLAN ID must be set to VLAN ID 10.”

Great thank you

I’ll try that on Thursday and see if it connects to Swisscom.

And is that correct in the pop-up window I have to manually enter Swisscom and switch at the bottom for user name and password.

Greetings Thomas

PS: I think you’re the only one who can help me

@OldOx at Swisscom you don’t have to enter a user name and password to establish the connection (unless you have an SME subscription with a fixed IP, then the FB is totally the wrong router for this). The router connects automatically (without user name and password) via DHCP if DHCP option 60 and VLAN are correct.

If the router is online, you still have to register it via the homepage: www.swisscom.ch/access, only then will the Internet services be available.

Hello @OldOx

I had the same phenomenon too. It was because the country setting in the Fritzbox was set to Germany and therefore only German providers were listed. If you change the country setting to Switzerland, Swisscom should also appear in the list.

For me it now works great on a 1 GB Anschluss.

Hello, thanks for the answer

Otherwise you don’t have to enter any data, username or passwords.

Would you also point out where to change it? That would be awesome if it was just that and no one knows that you have to do it.

With many thanks

The country setting can be found under “System > Region and Language > Country Settings”

After selecting Swisscom as the provider, it was no longer necessary to enter a user name and password.

Good luck!

I received my Fritzbox 5530 xgspon Edition this week and was able to successfully put it into operation on Wingo Anschluss. Everything works including remote access via Fritz VPN.

Answer from AVM

Good morning Stephen

Thank you for your inquiry and the words of praise about our FRITZ!Box.

In fact, the FRITZ!Box 5530 [https://ch.avm.de/service/fritzbox-laeuft-an-jedem-connection/fritzbox-am-swisscom-glas fiber connection-einrichten/](https://ch.avm.de/service/fritzbox-laeuft -on-every-connection/fritzbox-on-swisscom-fiber-optic-connection-setup/)

“Unfortunately” the XGS-PON version is currently only available through a corresponding provider that offers F!B with its offer. However, we are working hard to also offer the XGS-PON version via the retail channel. Therefore, I would like to ask you for a little patience. You can get the latest news via our social channels…which you probably already follow 😉

Greetings
Mark

That’s not true at all, AVM also supplies the XGS-PON module to private individuals for 70 EUR.

Since when?

That’s why I contacted AVM.

For me the answer was (can be obtained from the provider).

How do I order this?

Show original language (German)

Simply write a nice email to xyz@abc.ch that you would like to order it was enough.

However, the part doesn’t run with Sunrise, or EWZ Level 1 with Sunrise termination… And according to Sunrise, the 10 GB would be more of a marketing thing because the 10 GB line would be shared with 32 people, I should be better off on that 1 GB AON line remains. Unfortunately, the plan is therefore buried.

So you can actually get the corresponding module from AVM.
