Internetbox 5

It depends on what type of Internet box you currently have.

If it is already an IB3, then the advantage of the IB5 is only the additional WiFi 7 protocol, which can offer approx. 20% faster WiFi than the WiFi 6 standard.
However, the prerequisite for using the WiFi 7 standard is that the individual WLAN client also masters this more modern standard, otherwise it will also connect to an IB5 on the previous WiFi 6 standard, i.e. in exactly the same way as with an IB3.

However, if you still have an older model Internetbox than an IB3, then switching to a completely up-to-date IB5 would be worthwhile in several respects.

We also have the Internet Box 3 (fibre) and would only switch to the 5, in our case the pro, when the WLAN Box 4 with Wifi 7 arrives.

You can easily switch to the IB5pro first and then later to a new WB that can do WiFi7. There is absolutely nothing against doing this in stages…..
