New software version

The following text has been appearing on my TV screen since yesterday evening: Attention A new software version is available for your TV. This will be installed as soon as your TV is in standby.

My TV is always in standby when I am not watching TV. I cannot make the text disappear, I can press OK on the remote control in vain. Everything runs normally in the background, but the text bar does not disappear.

Go to the settings of your TV and install the available update manually. This message should then also disappear. The procedure depends on the make and model.

You can use the remote control to access the menu and settings.

I think it’s because you don’t have to press the OK button on the Swisscom TV remote control when this message appears on the TV, but the OK button on the Philips TV remote control. Only after you press ok to remove this message will it be installed.
