Thunderbird e-mail no more inbox

Since the new Bluewin WEB mail system became active this week, no more e-mails have been coming into the inbox - sending works and all inboxes are also available on the Swisscom WEB mail system - Swisscom Business Support says “only an IT specialist with knowledge of Thunderbird can find the solution”.

It is best to reinstall and remember the password is not the one from the WEB-Mail customer centre login.

When deleting the e-mail account, it is important to check whether the e-mail is still available on the WEB-Mail, otherwise create local folders in Thunderbird and drag the e-mail into them to protect against data loss.

Simply re-enter the Bluewin mail account on Thunderbird.

Thunderbird will retrieve the latest IMAP access settings from the Bluewin mail server, which should then work correctly.

If the new mailbox works correctly, simply delete the old account in Thunderbird at the end.
