Received email asking us to pay USD 1495.

  • Dear community

I have now received an email to my account twice,

which is actually only for friends and family.

MS Outlook automatically moved the message to the spam folder.

He passed through Swisscom’s spam filter both times…

    We’re a little scared now.

    I’ve re-read a lot of things here:

    Federal Cybersecurity Office

I have already searched for a vulnerability on the following sites:

    Identity Leak Checker

    ';–have I been pwned?

    Apparently the address wasn’t leaked!

Would someone please be kind enough to calm us down a little? 😉

Thank you very much in advance and kind regards

    Below is the text:

    You got a new message

    xyz@abc.ch

    To [xyz@abc.ch](mailto:xyz@abc.ch) (Our email address)

Remember to settle your accounts before the deadline.

I regret to inform you about some sad news for you.

Approximately a month or two ago I have succeeded in gaining a total access to all your devices used for browsing internet.

Moving forward, I have started observing your internet activities on a continuous basis.

Go ahead and take a look at the sequence of events presented below for your reference:

Initially I want an exclusive access from hackers to a long list of email accounts (in today’s world, that is really a common thin g, which can be arranged via internet).

Evidently, it wasn’t hard for me to proceed with logging in y our email account ([xyz@abc.ch](mailto:xyz@abc.ch)).

Within the same week, I moved on with installing a Trojan virus in Operating Systems for all devices that you use to login to e-mail.

Frankly spea king, it wasn’t a challenging task for me at all (since you were kind e nough to click s ome of the links in your inbox emails before).

    Yeah, geniuses are among us.

Because of this T rojan I am able to ga in a access to entire set of controls in devices (e.g., your video camera, key board, microphone and others).

As a result, I effortlessly d ownloade d all data, as well as photos, web bro wsing history and other types of data to my servers.

Furthermore, I have access to all soci al ne tworks acc ounts that you or regular use, including luding emails, including chat history, me ssengers, contacts list etc.

My unique virus is incessantly refr eshing its signature (due to con trol by a driver), and henc e remains undetected by any type of antivirus es.

Henc e, I guess by now you can already see the re ason why I al ways remained undetected and until this very letter…

During the process of compilation of the material associ ated with you, I also noticed that you are a huge source and regular user of websit es hosting nasty a lot of content.

Turns out to be, you really love visiting porn websites, as well as watching ex quoting videos and enduring unforgettable pleasures.

As a matter of fact, I was not able to withstand the t emptation, but to record certain nasty solo action with you in main role, and later produced a few videos ex posing your masturbation and cumming scenes.

If until now you don’t believe me, all I n eed is one-two mouse clicks to make all those vide os with every one you know, including your friends, colleagues, relatives and others.

Furthermore, I am able to upload all th at video content online for e veryone to see.

I sincerely think, you certainly woul d not wi sh such incidents to take place, in view of the e lu stful things d emonstr ated in you r commonly w atched vid eos, (you absolutely know what I mean by that ) it will cause a huge adv ersity for you.

There is still a solution to this matter, and here is what you need to do:

You make a transaction of USD 1495 to my account (an equivalent in Bitcoins, which I recorded depending on the exchange rate at the date of funds transfer), hence upon receipt of the transfer, I will immediately get rid of all those lustful videos without delay.

After that we can make it look like there was nothing happening beforehand.

Additionally, I c an conf irm that all the Trojan software is going to be d isabled and erased from all devices that you use. You have nothing to worry about, because I keep my word at all times.

That is actually a beneficial bargain that comes with a relatively reduced price, taking into account that your profile and traffic were under close monitoring during a long time frame.

If you are still unclear regarding how to buy and per form transactions with bitcoin ns - every thing is a available online.

Below is my bitcoin wallet for your ford her reference: 1EqSsMni GH wKU zpkC FWAfD gA 7BLZWPEAeU (without whitespaces)

All you have is 2 days and the countdown begins once this email is o pened.

The following l includes things you should remember and avoid doing:

    - There’s no point to try replying my email.

    - There’s no point in calling police or any ot her types of curi ty s services either. Further, don’t you dare s sharing this in fo with any of y our friends.

If I discover that ( taking into consideration my skills, it will be really simple, because I control all your systems and continuously monitor them ) your nasty clip will be sha red with public straight awa y.

    - There’s no point in looking for me too - it won’t result in any success. Transactions with cryptocurrencies are completely anonymous and untraceable.

    - There’s no point in reinstalling your OS on devices or trying to throw them away. Th at won’t so lve th e issue, since all clips with you as ma in character a re already uploaded on remote server vers.

Things that may be concerni ng you:

    - That funds transfer won’t be delivered to me.

Breathe out, I can track down ev erything right away, so once funds transfer is finished, I wi ll know for sure, since I intermi nably track down all act ivitie s done by you (m y Trojan vi rus con trols all p rocesse s remotely, just as TeamVi ewer).

    - That your videos will be distributed, even though you have completed money transfer to my wallet.

Trust me, it is worth it for me to still bother you after mon ey transfer is successful. Furthermore, if that was even part of my plan, I would do make it appen wa y sooner!

We are going to approach and deal with it in a clear manner!

In conclusion, I ’d like to rec ommend one more thi ng… after this y ou need to make certain you don’t get involved in simi lar kind of unpleasant events anymore!

My r ecommen dation - ens ure all your r password ds are rep laced with new ones on a regular basis.

No - spam refers to unsolicited advertising emails, your example is so-called (fake) sextortion . These are empty threats, but unfortunately people always fall for them and pay the requested sum. Unfortunately, the Bitcoin wallet from your email has already received three payments.

Therefore: simply ignore such emails. If you want to be on the safe side, you can change the email password. In this case there is no reasonable suspicion of a leaked password.

    @Prio

You shouldn’t open such emails and browse around for a long time, but put them in the spam filter and then delete them.

The virus scanner probably won’t find anything, but your email address may end up with dubious people.

    Thanks @WalterB

Both times MS Outlook automatically moved the message to the spam folder, removed the hyperlinks and converted the message to [Plain Text]. I then simply had this text translated using Google.

You can also put the email in the improved spam filter directly in WEB mail, but this only works if it has not been deleted in Outlook.

WEB-Mail also now has a spam filter for abnormal domain names.

    Which “improved” spam filter?

Do you know something that I don’t know? 🤔

But this is not an “improved” SPam filter. You can maintain black and white lists yourself.

This is the translation, mostly threats.

Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to change the passwords every now and then.

      Thank you very much @PowerMac

I probably asked too long and used the wrong term. 😞

Me and my wife just wanted to know if I can/can ignore such messages.

      Now we are calm!

Have a nice evening to you.
