unknown number called me, wants to know who it is

This is not Swisscom support, but rather “customers helping customers”.

Swisscom doesn’t just release unknown numbers. If there is a serious problem, you have to make a request to the police and they will then pass it on.

To answer… Unknown is unknown. There’s no way to find out. You can only file a report if you are seriously harassed or even threatened. The police may then be able to find out who called you. Such calls often come from dubious call centers from abroad, usually Eastern Europe, Russia, etc.

Then I guess you just have to live with the fact that you can’t figure it out.

Such numbers are often fake and/or fantasy numbers….

But what do you expect now? If there are no entries or you can’t find anything using Google, you have zero options and just have to accept that you can’t find out. Why do you worry so much about a phone number? If it is important, the person will definitely contact you again or speak to you on Combox. How many unknown phone numbers have I seen…?

Especially these days you always have to be careful and be skeptical about unknown phone numbers. The most important thing… never call back if you don’t expect a call from somewhere.
