Blue tv Sport - no more Serie A but same price: is it fair?

    • @And83 I have also a Blue Sports subscription, and I was informed by E-mail short after the deal with DAZN was published. Of cause, you can ask for reduction, you can ask for everything. But I doubt, you’ll get it, as stated in the Swisscom contact terms, you also can ask to get out of the contract immediately without further costs, here I can imagine, that Swisscom will accept it. Either way, this is a customers help customers community and we can’t help here. Best you contact the hotline 0800 800800 and discuss it with them directly.

    You can’t ask for reduction, but you can cancel the subscription if you’re no longer interested.

    It’s not something out of the ordinary. All services have content coming and leaving the platform.

    I get your frustration. As a comparison, Netflix can remove any movie or entire series (multiple seasons) on a moment’s notice.

    The whole Serie A is just one contract.

    @And83 That’s it with football rights, who pays more gets it, that what DAZN did, and Blue TV lost, it is easier for DAZN as well as for Sky to get the as they usually get the rights for Austria, Germany and Switzerland together, here Swisscom can’t compete, it is the same with UPC/MySports and the German Bundesliga a couple of years ago. AS the price will remain in the future is not clear, we will see what will happen, but that market economy. But as I’ve already written, this is a customers help customers community and not the Swisscom customer service, so we can’t help here even if we are facing the same situation.

    Maybe it could have been better communicated, but the writing was on the wall. Some time ago there was a controversy about Swisscom blacking out some Italian channels airing Serie A games im clear. Since Swisscom was unable to enforce the exclusive airing rights for the Swiss market, it was only logical it would drop it all together.
