yes, that’s true. But unfortunately we can write whatever we want here, Swisscom won’t change anything. We are not taken seriously as customers!

I can’t (completely) confirm that. I criticized a lot in another thread that also deals with the new webmail.

… and… I almost couldn’t believe it - but there is an improvement. If you delete or move an email, there is NO longer any automatic selection of the next visible email. For me it’s a step in the right direction.

What can help is: Clear definition of the problem - and, if possible, what the correction should look like. I am (also) not 100% satisfied with the new webmail version, but I see efforts to fix errors.

Hello @Altakutz001

The layout can be set almost as it was before using the settings.

You can choose a different layout for the email list:

Click on the gear menu at the top right and select the desired layout.

Recommendation: List

The multi-line email preview can also be switched off:

Gear Menu -> All Settings -> Mail -> Read -> Email List Item -> Text Preview show -> deactivate (unchecked)

A lot can be set in the menus, just try it out, you can’t really go wrong.

Many functions can be accessed via the right mouse button and are self-explanatory. Help is also available in the web interface:

Question Mark -> Help or Introductory Tour.

Just “play” with the many options and the training won’t be so bad. Or ask here again.

Further settings: Help article setting options for new webmail (PC)

Thanks, I’ve tried all of that, but it’s still a step backwards compared to the old version. But it doesn’t matter anymore, I’m now on Outlook, everything is very simple and clear there.

I would like to join this comment. Why does something tried and tested have to be changed again and again? Simply because there are too many people who want to realize themselves. There are enough vacancies in the hospitality industry. So let these people go and put them elsewhere.

You try the gear at the top right first.

Then you realize that it’s no use getting a space-saving surface like before.

Hence the complaint.

Hey hu.

Now you just have to scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, scroll, etc.

I just read the top ones and the others get lost.

Of course, it can also be more space-saving:

Uncheck text preview > doesn’t work for me… :-(

Furthermore: there is no longer a page code. I could jump to page 100 if I wanted. Find

no more page numbers like that. I also had to reduce the display size.

I want to delete, let’s say, 100 advertising emails using the search function, but not all of them because something was purchased earlier. These should not be deleted. In the past you could put a tick at the top so that everyone was marked. Then I could individually delete the ticks that should not be deleted and then enter the delete command.

I haven’t figured out how to do this yet.

Hello @ppc_world

Mark the desired folder -> 3-point menu at the top right of the email list -> Select all messages

If not yet configured: Enable the checkboxes:

Gear menu -> Options for list -> Mark check fields

Thanks for the help, but I didn’t get any further.

So, I select a supplier in the search function. Then I can select all emails.

All of them are marked and I could probably delete them now, but I don’t want to, but 90%,

resp. I want to keep the oldest ones because I bought something there.

It doesn’t go that far (yet).

I didn’t find any checkboxes to turn on. the option for list (I assume

This does not mean the layout list, which is already selected for me.

Now where is the “option for list”?

Thanks in advance. But I still miss a page counter…> (to Swisscom or whoever is responsible for it)

@ppc_world

The easiest way is to install Thunderbird and there you can then create “local” folders and drag the emails into them, so they are retained and your WEB email is relieved.

You can also give the local folder appropriate names, e.g. Finances, orders, private etc.

Hello @ppc_world

Sorry, by list we mean the layout list.

In Bluewin the checkboxes are called check fields.

You can find the setting for this directly in the gear menu-> control fields

In a list, you can also hold down the Ctrl key and then use the left or right mouse button to mark or unmark individual elements. This works the same everywhere under Windows. But it’s easier with the checkboxes.

On the old site you could mark the unwanted emails and then move them to the trash with one click. This was efficient. Why does something tried and tested have to be made worse?

This is also possible with the new webmail!

Simply click/select the desired email while holding down the CTRL key, then trash, done.

Alternatively, turn on the checkboxes (control fields), then you can select without holding down the CTRL key
