Good evening,

At one point in the procedure there was a screen for 3 free months at Disney Plus to thank us for updating.
if we clicked on ok, it asked for the payment code. Not wanting to end up with a hidden subscription, I went back in the hope of finding the conditions of these three months and if it can be canceled at the end of the three.

Now that I have completed the update steps, I am not returning this offer anywhere and even less the conditions.

Is it too late to take advantage of these three months free?
If not, where can I find the offer? Can we cancel the Disney+ subscription at the end of the three free months?

THANKS.

The update does not work.

Stuck on the “we have updated your TV-box” screen with the 4 steps including the first and starting the remote control update.

The remote control is completely inoperative.

I tried the various methods proposed in this thread to reset the remote control and the box (remove the batteries, press ok for 3 seconds then put the batteries back and press 1+3 at the same time then the wps button on the side of the box as well as the reset of the box as well). But nothing works. What do I do now, throw the remote on the floor?

One of my boxes just had the same update. During this process, the response of the box to the remote control is really very slow and, at each step, I had to press several times for the box to react. This actually gives the impression that everything is planted.

Hello @Greyeuzi21

The last two options in the help topic could be the solution in the case of the LED flashing red.

  • The TV-Box needs to reboot for technical reasons. Restart TV-Box.
  • Your remote control is no longer connected to the TV-Box. Hold down the WPS button on the TV-Box for 3 seconds and follow the instructions on the TV.

Good morning! Thanks for the help, but I tried that too and nothing works. Everything is blocked even the WPS button. I can only turn it off and on with the remote control. All other keys are blocked.

Too bad, it was the simple version 😞

Here is the complete list of proposed actions from one of the migration managers.

If you are having remote control issues, I recommend the following troubleshooting steps:
Remove the battery from the Swisscom remote control and press the OK button for 5 seconds.
Reinsert the batteries
Press buttons 1 + 3 on the remote control simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the LED on the remote control lights up red.
Press the WPS button on the TV box for 5 seconds (on Swisscom Box 21, it is on the left side of the box)
This will put the TV box into “connect to remote control mode”.
Follow the instructions on the TV

If that doesn’t work, I recommend resetting the TV box. To do this, press the reset button on the bottom of the TV box with a paper clip for 2 seconds. Please note that when resetting the TV box, it must be connected with an Ethernet cable. Direct WiFi connection will not work.

Personally, it also failed at the time of the remote control and then if I clicked on the Disney offer but canceled.

It ended up working when I removed the batteries from the remote control for several minutes and unplugged the cable from the electrical outlet at the back of the box also for several minutes and automatically refused the Disney offer.

if that helps.

I don’t care. My TV is made for watching TV, not for anything else.

Hi Luginnal58

Welcome to the customer forum.

Ah, I see the concept! Your TV is like a toaster: no question of it making croque-monsieur, just toasty toast. After all, why explore the world of smart TV when you can enjoy reruns of Derrick? Everyone has their own priorities!” 😄

Doremi, a customer like you.

Super awesome, my box is up to date.

Since then, when I turn it on, it turns on and off for 12 minutes (watch in hand) before staying on and being usable.

So what can we do to make it both up to date and usable?

Hello, dear friends.

With all the complaints from dissatisfied Swisscom customers, I am not ready to change boxes, I am looking to migrate to another operator.

Sorry, I’ve been a customer for many years, but the cup is full.

Is it AI causing the mess, via Google? I had a Swisscom Google AI watch, it was a mess, although it cost more than CHF 300.- I wasted it.

Question, what do you want to impose on us AI or and Google?

Hi Deufliommei19

-“I am not ready to change boxes, I am looking to migrate with another operator.”-

Can you tell me where it says you need to change your TV box? As mentioned several times on this forum, it is not necessary to use the Google Store. Is it hard to understand?

-“I’m looking to migrate with another operator.”-

It’s funny, but it should also be noted that 99% of the other operators are also under Google. So in the future you may have to consider going without television.

for the remote try the following:

First remove the batteries from the remote control. Press the OK button for 5 seconds. Insert the batteries back into their compartment and check.

If this does not resolve the issue, follow these steps:
Press buttons 1 and 3 simultaneously for 3 seconds (the LED on the remote control lights up red) to disconnect the TV box (Swisscom Box). Then restart the TV box (Swisscom Box) and check if the remote control can be connected.

Questions:
Are the batteries new or more than 15% charged?
Does the LED on the remote control light up?
If the LED on the remote control does not light up, even with new batteries, you must call the Hotline or go to the store (Swisscom Shop) to have the remote control replaced.
