blue TV on MAC - web app works, broadcast does not start

  • Hello

    I have reconfigured a MAC.

There I can start blue TV on the WEB, log in, see all the advertisements and also call up TV Guide. Every program on every channel is called up, but does not start (black picture, channel display and program is displayed correctly at the bottom of the picture. Pressing Start/Stop doesn’t help either.

Is there no app for the Mac?

Everything works in the iPhone app.

Is it just me (setup problem?) or a glitch?

Doesn’t a single channel work? or just certain ones?

I swear all the channels weren’t working. SRF1 especially tried. Now I’m back via MySwisscom (directly to the TV) and everything works! This morning I logged in directly to the website (which worked). God’s ways and computer science 🙂

Now you can also log in to the website (extra logged out everywhere beforehand). Sherlock Holmes would guess “Sunday morning crafts” at Swisscom.

How many devices are already registered?

The following smartphones, tablets, computers or TV applications are connected to your TV subscription. You can register a maximum of 5 devices at the same time.* If you no longer want a device to have access to your TV subscription, you can remove it here.

Please note: Once 5 devices are connected, you can switch 3 devices within 90 days.

    Hi @Koniferski

Which browser are you using? In most cases the problem is due to [DRM](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/TV-Wissensbox/Das-bedeutet-Digitales-Rechtemanagement-f%C3%BCr-blue-TV-Air/ta- p/709355). Firefox, for example, must first install the “Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc.” Install extension.

As a MAC user, Safari is good. I don’t have an ad blocker (I think so too) - Safari prevents trackers from following me. Blue TV doesn’t appear in the list (website or tracker), which you can read about there.

    Hi @Koniferski

Then I have good and bad news - it works fine for me in Safari.

I recently had the problem that the player used by blue-TV was blocked in my DNS-based ad blocker (Adguard/PiHole) - hence the question about the ad blocker.
