Desktop app keeps logging me out

Recently the desktop app for myCloud logged me out and whenever I log in immediately i get logged out and I uninstalled the desktop app and downloaded it afresh from the website with the updated version and it keeps doing the same thing. For the moment I enabled WebDAV in my account and connected it to my laptop.

You have given me the solution, merci vielmal. It is indeed Windows Defender, it blocks either the myCloud Desktop.exe or the folder where the synchronisation files are located. I’m going on holiday soon, but I’ll test it again afterwards to see if it’s the exe or the folder.

I did it as follows:

Settings > Privacy and Security > Windows Security > Virus and Threat Protection > Virus and Threat Protection Settings
click on Manage Settings
at the bottom click on Exclusions > Add and manage exclusions
enter the path of the exe (you can find the location and path by searching for the program “myCloud Desktop” via Windows, right-click and select Open file location, then right-click on the file again and select the file path).

Currently, the sync is performed promptly, but some files still appear with the error that they cannot be synchronised, presumably data corpses from earlier (e.g. EML files). I will clean this up and then I should hopefully be able to work with the whole thing again.

I have followed the steps and it still logs me out once it starts loading.. I failed to understand what is going on. I have added myCloud Desktop to windows defender exclusion both the folder and the exe but i still experience the same thing. I have excluded it on both windows defender and malwarebytes just to be sure it is not being blocked by any of them.. but its quite strange
