Webdav storage space limited

  • I plan to use Webdav access to transfer all my files and photos from the NAS to myCloud. I store photos in the files folder structure.

My MyCloud storage space is 2 TB

Now when I copied it it showed me that I didn’t have enough storage space on myCloud.

How is it that there is not the same amount of memory on the Webdav as on the myCloud memory?

What can I do here to show the same storage space?

    Greetings

    • @Pefiethitz35 The fact that the memory size is not the same is probably because the WebDAV protocol does not support querying the server’s memory capacity 😕

https://mskb.pkisolutions.com/kb/2386902 -> This is by design. A WebDAV mapped drive’s capacity is set to match the client machine’s System drive capacity. This means that the capacity you get from a WebDAV mapped drive is the same as your local system drive. System drive is where Windows is installed.

If I were you, I would copy all the data to an internal folder or to an external hard drive or SSD, it’s important to check whether there are any compressed files!

Then see how much data is available.

What do you see when you look at MyCloud in Kundencenter?

WalterB I’m surprised that it shows 215 GB of storage space in the browser. Which is not correct.

it looks like this on MyCloud. I can also easily upload files via it.

That’s why I was wondering if the WebDav settings are limited.

Only someone from the MyCloud team can answer you whether there is a folder limit, unfortunately I can no longer find the name here in the community?

        It could be @SilvanG9?
