@Stéphane.phill As far as I know, Swisscom does not normally put “+1” channels that show the same thing as the original, but an hour later it is very common on British channels, here it doesn’t make much sense, because unlike the UK or France we have replay, there is no need for these channels.

The first announced is CANAL+ Box-Office which will broadcast the biggest hits of recent cinema including the biggest American films which made the news as well as the most popular French films, six months after their theatrical release.

Also available from September 1, CANAL+ Cinéma(s) will be reserved for subscribers to the CANAL+ Ciné Séries offer.

(and the total necessarily not specified.)

Swisscom blue TV doesn’t have much time left to be ready to broadcast the 2 new channels to these Canal+ subscribers on a linear basis.

@Papaye

For the moment Canal+ Box Office is not a channel in itself but a section of VOD. So Blue Tv couldn’t add it.

As for Blue Tv’s plans to broadcast these channels or not, I cannot say anything at the moment, as no official announcement from Swisscom has yet been made.

Can we hope one day to see LCI (La Chaîne Info) go to HD at Swisscom?

This has been going on for years, it is time for Swisscom to wake up.

It’s one of the last channels in SD and it’s not an obscure channel that no one watches

THANKS

LCI image quality | Swisscom Community

LCI is available, but only in SD quality. HD quality will be disabled as soon as possible with the next version.

We do not plan to offer the LCI channel in HD. This is particularly due to the fact that we cannot reach an agreement with the broadcaster. I’m sorry I don’t have any other news to tell you.

UPC/Sunrise only has the channel in SD too

Channels which are not available by satellite (FTA = free to air) or whose HD version is not available cannot be broadcast by Swisscom, this requires agreements with the chains.

And if the channels do not want it, for example in the case of Paris Premium, it does not work. **LCl is no longer available in HD unencrypted by satellite, it was different before. And if LCl doesn’t release the signal, it’s like this. Swisscom / Sunrise does not have the right to decrypt the signals.

Hello Zethupien18

The reason is simple, LCI does not provide HD streams to Swisscom.

If Swisscom had the HD stream at its disposal, they would not have fun resizing the SD stream to HD on certain reception modes.

According to Canal+ Switzerland:

In Switzerland, the CANAL+ BOXOFFICE channel will enrich the CANAL+ Ciné Séries and CANAL+ La Totale offers from September 1 on the myCANAL platform and during September/early October with operators (depending on their channel update schedule).

@Larihe19 Here is the response to this topic from a Swisscom employee on the German-speaking forum:

“BBC channels broadcast content in HLS and this technology is preferably reproduced by Apple products. Our TV decoder uses an Android OS and these channels are therefore no longer part of our range”

However, there are different radio applications, like vtuner or others, where you can find these radio stations.
