@superfly I don’t know this subscription type exactly, but from what I saw (see link), this subscription type Vivo XS only had 30 hours of replay. Within the so-called Common Tariff 12 (GT12) was between the broadcasters and the providers, such as Swisscom. Sunrise and everyone else agreed that for subscriptions with 30 hours of replay, it is not possible to overwind the advertising and thus also Replay Comfort or an analogue offer from other providers. The statement that Swisscom did this consciously is therefore incorrect. By the way, this is also the case with the newer Blue TV S subscriptions.

The providers are free when it comes to pricing.
CHF 3.95 is at Salt for the 7-day replay. The replay advertising costs an additional CHF 6.00 at Salt.
iWay for example: https://www.iway.ch/tv/
CHF 5.00 for the 7-day replay. Replay advertising *additional* CHF 4.50.
IWay no longer offers a subscription with 30 hours of replay.
I think that’s because they have recognized that the ability to fast forward in the recordings and replay is one of the most central functions for the TV viewer and that the deactivated fast forward function is anything but appreciated by most TV viewers.
Glotzologist
@Gaeilgeoir I have to make it clear here that with the Vivo subscription, fast forwarding and rewinding don’t work at all, even if there are no advertisements. This means that when I watch a film or a replay program, the forward and rewind buttons have no function. This was really done consciously. The trust is gone.
@superfly See post 90 by @RomanE in this thread, winding no longer works at 30 hours of replay and that’s because the broadcasters wanted it that way as a compromise in the GT12, that’s the case with everyone This is done by providers and not by Swisscom alone and deliberately.

I don’t have any trouble with customization. However, after the Swisscom Trick subscription adjustment, I am again bound for 36 months = 2.5 years instead of 1 year. And anyway. Once Swisscom increased the speed from 10 to 20mpbs free of charge for 3 months without asking. After 3 months you had to cancel yourself = stay, or else you would have to pay around 7-12 francs more per month. We don’t even want to talk about the initially free, unlimited cloud offer until you finally had to pay for existing cloud data again.
If you’ve been to Sunrise, you know how pathetic a provider can be. That’s why Swisscom remains top for me. By that I mean the whole package. Back then it was love at first K(B)lick. Beautiful, stylish hardware, courteous customer service advisors, fast processing, etc.
Sunrise left me without a phone, without internet and without TV for two weeks when I switched to Swisscom. I couldn’t even call an emergency. You have to digest that!
And to be honest, I would like Swisscom to be fully owned by the state again.
you caught me. I was raised a little communist and that’s a good thing.
In my opinion, service providers should be in state hands. This affects, among others, electricity companies, health insurance companies, insurance companies and telecommunications companies.
The Internet should finally be available to everyone free of charge, that is my policy.
We see what capitalism has led to, and democracy makes it possible for some to have more and others to have less. Or better, MUCH more and MUCH less.
I certainly wouldn’t want to nationalize a corner store or other creative businesses.
If this topic becomes uncomfortable for anyone, I apologize.
Shouldn’t have digressed, but whatever, it’s a forum.
To get back on track.
I am very satisfied with the new Blue Home subscription. Ultra-fast internet, if you need it, and more options when watching TV.
As far as the advertising industry is concerned, I think what they’ve pulled off is pretty shameful. Well, 40 years ago we were even more limited and very few people could afford a video recorder that cost 2,000 francs. With 250 hours of recording capacity on TV M, you can only smile.
I complained today because I can’t fast forward or rewind the British channels, including the recorded shows that aired after around November 20th. were recorded. (I can fast forward and rewind the recordings that were made before around November 20th.) There was no communication about this. An employee called me earlier and informed me that the replay function is not compatible with the Vivo XS subscription. I’m not aware of any communication about this either. He said the next cheapest subscription that would allow me to restore this feature would cost me CHF89.90, CHF9.90 more than my current subscription. Conclusion: No proactive information and it costs me more than the 6.90 CHF that was quoted in the comm from the beginning of October. Can this be real?
