Swisscom does not provide support for third party hardware 😁

AVM https://fritzbox.eu 100% compatible with the Swisscom network since SDN existed.

Fritzbox 5530 fiber AON (ftth 1Gbit/s max) depending on the sfp inserted
Fritzbox 5530 fiber GPON (ffth 10 Gbit/s max) depending on the sfp inserted

Configure the FRITZ!Box for the Swisscom fiber optic line | AVM Schweiz

In the basic configuration of Fritzbox, if Swisscom is not in the list, you choose another provider
and you name the new profile Swisscom blue.

I don’t have a bridge/bridge mode on my Fritzbox because it’s a router!

you must use dmz mode to replace pont/bridge mode

It seems to me that the Swisscom forum is precisely a specific place for this type of question since I am on the Swisscom network….

I know full well that Swisscom does not provide this kind of information, which is why I am asking other users who have already done or are thinking of doing this.

@Papaye

Thank you for your help.

Small additional question, following the configuration of my Fritzbox, swisscom asks me for a 6-digit activation code.

Do you know where I can find this?

I contacted Swisscom but they are unable to give me the information 😞

Thanks in advance

Hello Mïsterfreeze,

Do you have any news regarding your ‘activation code’ problem for the fritzbox?

I have been fighting for 2 days with the same problem, but with a NOKIA XS-010X-Q bridge, also in the list of Swisscom BBCS certified devices.

Connection OK, but we land in a 100.x.y.z network and the only page that works is the swisscom splash page which asks for a 10-digit NSN that Swisscom does not have….

Unfortunately Swisscom is unable to give me the famous codes…. 😡

The only solution that the hotline could give me (I never got a response to my emails….), is to call the other paid swisscom hotline…

According to them, it would take around 1 hour or 120chf of memory to give it a 10-digit code.

It’s simply scandalous so I didn’t follow up.

On the other hand, I plan to change supplier given their practices….

Good luck to you and above all good luck.

Good day

@Mïsterfreeze

Indeed, the 2 hotlines I had don’t seem to be able to give it (in the sense that they don’t know where to look for this number). Last idea from the support is that this type of ‘device’ is yes certified but cannot be connected to a ‘Residential’ contract. It would be necessary to enter into a business contract.

I should have the answer on Monday, but it is clear that if a change of contract should be necessary, I will also opt for a change of provider, init7 style.

What code is requested, is there a header for a code?
If you are a Swisscom blue customer who has subscribed to an internet subscription

you must have received it in a mail/postal letter (no, you should not throw away the letter and/or the SMS

Connect the external router to the Swisscom network – Help | Swisscom

Fiber optic connection (FTTH)

For the WAN interface, in the router configuration menu, DHCP option 60 must be configurable and have the value 100008.0001. In addition, you must choose the value “10” for the VLAN ID.

Thank you for your response.

Concerning the paper, in fact, I am almost certain that I received it…. But as it has been a few years already, I am afraid of having put it in the trash 😞

But I still find it surprising that Swisscom cannot provide the information a second time ^^

> 10-digit NSN that Swisscom does not have….

Swisscom has it, but only the physical connection service is only accessible when moving in/out and is obtained when you conclude your internet subscription to Swisscom blue Internet.

it is indicated on the main wall connection socket arriving in the apartment which they must indicate at the time of registration.
if it is not available because you are a new tenant and do not know that of the old tenant and it is indicated on the Swisscom invoice!

you must mention all the useful details of the former tenant to find the trace if you have just moved into the accommodation.
This is to prevent abuse and hacking of a tenant’s account.
First name Last name (complete as in the passport/identity card) and date de naissance essential (because there are homonyms in the same building/building, it happens) type example “José Lopes”
Address of the exact accommodation with the essential apartment number (which will identify the socket and the famous NSN number (Network Subscriber Number)

DSL NSN xxxxxxxxxx
fiber optic socket/optical fiber OTO-ID: X.111.222.333

You must look at your Swisscom invoice if you are a customer in mySwisscom if the paper is not available…
unless I’m mistaken, the 6-digit number is only valid once!

An internet registration document is like an official document and must be kept for the entire duration of the contract +5 years after termination.
Contact ombudscom for an amicable arrangement if you are in good faith with all the supporting evidence.

@Mïsterfreeze & @Papaye

Finally it works!

Configuration: 10Gb XGS-PON Fiber –> Nokia XS-010X-Q –> OPNSense!

Two good nights of sleep, after reflection (and hours of Googling) there was no reason why it shouldn’t work.

Apart from redoing the entire config from scratch and avoiding connecting the fiber networks before everything is ready (Vlan TAG, Option 60, etc.) the only thing that has changed since Friday/Saturday is having spoofed the MAC of the IB3 on the FW OPNSense interface.

I landed directly on the internet with the public IP on the FW interface. NO CGNAT and no particular page (register, splash) to validate.

Note that my line was already activated and functional with an IB3.
