Deactivate data packet (package, start data).

  • Strangely enough, I keep getting charged “Package, Start Data” for 2 CHF on my prepaid cell phone (I only use it for call forwarding). Can I simply block data in general and if so, how?

      Yes, it’s very easy

Go to the cockpit of the corresponding prepaid mobile number, then go to the settings and deactivate the basic tariff of CHF 2/day:

This means that this prepaid number can only be accessed on the Internet with a prepaid prepaid that has been specially purchased in advance and that the daily flat rate of 2 francs cannot be debited from you under any circumstances.

The debiting of the daily flat rate without consciously switching on the data connection on the Swisscom prepaids happens every now and then.

So just switch it off in general and only switch it back on occasionally when really necessary.

What kind of cell phone model, brand type is it?

Normally you have to turn off “Mobile Data”.

In principle, the cost of a call is incurred when a call is diverted. This means that if you forward from your smartphone, you pay the per-minute price for incoming calls that would normally be charged for outgoing calls.

Installationen, Netzwerk, Internet, Computertechnik, OS Windows, Apple und Linux.

I have an iPhone 11 and the prepaid is installed as an eSIM.
But the DATA is switched off on the cell phone side for this line… so actually that shouldn’t happen at all, since the data is active via the main line (normal subscription).

    Sorry, yes exactly:

I have a main SIM card for my normal subscription and an additional eSIM prepaid so that I can redirect calls from the office (then I can see which line it comes from and I can respond accordingly) 😉

In principle, the prepaid should not be charged with data if it is correctly deactivated in the cell phone. However, I can’t test it because I don’t have a dual SIM.
