The new WLAN-Box 3 is available from the Online Shop today. It is slightly larger than its predecessor, has an attractive curved design and offers 3 advantages in particular: almost double the maximum WLAN speed (10.2 instead of 5.4 Gbit/s), maximum WLAN stability thanks to the latest WLAN standard Wi-Fi 6E, and a super-fast 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port.

Good news on the Swisscom announcement of the new WLAN-Box 3 with the latest WLAN standard Wi-Fi 6E, (and a super-fast 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port)

The announcement of an upstream Swisscom Internet box with the standard Wi-Fi 6E for an end-to-end Swisscom Internet Box and WLAN Box all based on 6E specs cannot be far away...or can it?

Swisscom doesn't make any announcements until a product is available.

Currently on an IB4

- Superfast WLAN with Wi-Fi 6 standard for 2.4 and 5 GHz
- For fibre-optic connections with Internet speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s
- Ethernet port: 1 × 10 Gbit/s and 4 × 1 Gbit/s
- Integrated DECT base station for 5 HD telephones and 2 telephone lines
- Guest WLAN and parental control function and VPN

Please consider adding more ethernet ports on the next iterations of the WLAN-Box. Just 3 ports is not enough, especially if one of the ports is used for upstream connection. Having 5 ports would be optimal.
