If I read that correctly, then only the IB3 is compatible with the 5G booster.

An inquiry to Swisscom revealed that the booster must be connected directly to the router. When I read the comments here, it sometimes sounds as if this can also be installed on a switch in the network. The router is in my basement, I have a switch by the window.

It can also be done via a switch, but VLAN ID 699 and 700 must be tagged. If it is a smart managed switch, you can set that.

The switches from Swisscom (TP-Link) are already programmed accordingly.

The Netgear Switch GS105E is afaik not configured for the 5G Booster. Since it is a smart managed switch, you can program the VLAN ID 699 and 700 accordingly.

I have 12.02.xx as firmware and 70/20mbit copper. But I don’t see anything with the booster anywhere during the check. 5G antenna is 300 meters away and available on the phone.

I’ve had good experiences with the mobile phone in finding the best signal in the apartment and if you have reception it’s the signal from Swisscom.

There will sometimes be a problem when there is snow or the trees have leaves again, you notice this very well with the reception quality “dBm” on the 5G booster.
