Swisscom hotline Video Support: show us your problem
Need help with your Internet, blue TV or fixed network connection? Finding it difficult to explain your problem on the phone? The new Swisscom hotline Video Support service lets you share your phone camera’s live video to show us the issue.
A picture can be worth a thousand words. And when it comes to technical problems, it can be really helpful to show Swisscom the devices, connections and cables you are having trouble with, rather than just describing them. It helps our hotline agent to find a solution that works.
How does the free Video Support work?
If you need technical support for your Internet, fixed network or TV and call the hotline, the Swisscom voice response system will suggest the video support option. You can also request “Video Support” right at the start. You don’t have to show your face and you don’t need a special app or software – just a smartphone with a camera on the back and an Internet connection. Our experts will guide you step by step:
- You will receive a link sent by SMS.
- Open the link on your mobile phone.
- Once you have accepted, the mobile phone camera switches on.
- Point the camera at the device you want help with.
- On your mobile phone screen, the hotline agent will show you where you have to change, reconnect or press anything.
Will my data be recorded?
Your privacy is a top priority for Swisscom. You decide what you want to show our employees with your mobile phone camera. They only see what you see on the screen yourself. The transmitted image data is encrypted and will not be stored or used for any other purpose.
