Has anyone else been put off with a 100CHF voucher for the Swisscom shop? I think you try to keep the customers who came away empty-handed happyš . I find it very weak on Appleās part as they canāt even give an even remotely realistic delivery date. Swisscom wonāt be able to do anything about it.
The case, protective film and magnetic charging cable have already arrived at home, all thatās missing is the new phoneš„²š„²š„² I think the next delivery will arrive at the end of October..?I checked out the Pro model in the Swisscom shop in Aarau at the weekend and would have liked to take it with meš

I got my Pro Sierra Blue 512GB on September 17th. can order at 2:20 p.m. Letās see how long that takes. But every year Iām a little frustrated that Apple doesnāt communicate more transparently to retailers about what delivery quantities can be expected and when. So you could still plan and possibly switch to a different model in terms of color and memory.

@MakiZH Yes, these delivery times confirm my suspicionš. These things donāt come ādrop by dropā from China, but only when an appropriate batch arrives, which can be a 20 foot container or even just half of it, from China will there be anything again. They donāt just ship the devices around the world in pallets. With the current delivery problems for computer chips, we should have been aware of thisš„². But just to get a new iPhone faster, I wouldnāt switch to a different color or storage capacity, after all, I want the cell phone in my favorite color or with enough storage space.š¤·š»āāļø
If it is so important for you to have your iPhone in your hands on the first day, you should ignore Swisscom in the future and reserve the iPhone directly from Apple for collection in the Apple Store. This actually always works, and you know exactly what youāre getting when you make your reservation. The only disadvantage is that payment in installments is not possible, so the money has to be ready when you pick it up or just KK. And you have to pick up the part in Zurich, Wallisellen, Basel or Geneva at the agreed time.

Thatās exactly how it is, and thereās actually nothing more to add, except perhaps that itās been that way for years and will continue to be that way in the future.

Of course, once youāve decided on your ideal iPhone, you donāt like making compromises.
If the 1TB had been available quicker, I would have given in to it and thrown even more money at Apple. š
Yes, itās usually quicker in the Apple Store. I thought about it too, but since there was a CHF 100 discount at Swisscom, I thought Iād better wait a bit and get the case and Magsafe charger for the CHF 100.
@MakiZH Yes, thatās true, but 1TB would be completely excessiveš. I actually wanted to go from (now) 512GB down to 256GB because I havenāt even come close to filling the 512GB, but since I make a lot of films and photographs, I donāt want to reach my limits with the new Cinema Modeš . And to the others: Yes, I would have had a bicycle chain, now we have ordered from Swisscom and we have to live with not being the very first with the new cell phones, but we can handle that š
From a technical point of view, it is much smarter if you only order the new phone 3-4 months after the first edition. By then, the devices have usually already undergone several hardware revisions, i.e. the teething problems are gone and the quality is higher. There have always been years when the performance, reception or display was subsequently improved or power consumption was reduced.
If I only buy a new device every 3-4 years, then certainly not as an early adopter, but only when the teething problems have been eliminated. I can personally recommend this for the purchase of all technical devices.
