How does email recognize spam email?

  • I’ve been getting the same spam emails every day for years. Every day I move them to the spam folder. And every day they still appear in my normal mailbox.

On the other hand, I can’t forward a normal newsletter that I’ve been receiving for years today because it’s supposed to be spam. When I am redirected to a bluemail page by clicking on ‘Send this email again’, I find no indication of how I could send it again…

My emails are sometimes forwarded by Spektrum.de and sometimes sent to the spam folder.

    Why all this??

Spam filters never work 100% correctly, which means there will always be spam that ends up in the normal folder and normal emails that end up in the spam folder.

      You can report SPAM here:

      [spamreport@bluewin.ch](mailto:spamreport@bluewin.ch)

I would also report the email there that ended up in spam by mistake.

Spam filters work using different methods. Here, for example, is an entry on Wikipedia which methods can be used. As a rule, spam filters are complex structures and each provider approaches them slightly differently. Bluewin describes their chip filter here on this page.

As an end customer of bluewin.ch, you can only use the method from @hed.

But it’s an open secret that bluewin’s spam filter is often perceived as inadequate, and you’ve experienced that yourself.
