      In Thunderbird you have the option of importing address books, but these must be available in the appropriate export format.

      After importing the address books into Thunderbird, I then synchronize them via iCloud on other computers with Windows, iOS and Linux.

      There are lots of additional add-ons for the Thunderbird.

      And no, the address book and/or calendar are not synchronized.

      This doesn’t work with any program on Bluewin.

          This is how it looks, for example I use TbSynch with Thunderbird, which synchronizes the calendar and contacts across all operating systems.
