I didn’t want to write here anymore, but with all my love for freedom of expression and despite my statement about space for all opinions, I have to say that this is going too far.
Everyone probably knows which contrast and brightness settings are right for their eyes. It can’t be that the provider or someone else who is just throwing water on the SC mill anyway tells me how I have to make the settings.
First, the customization options are removed from the OS and then the customer is forced to have a light on dark interface, which makes it possible to add images to the background of the guide, which do not provide any added value anyway. In order to end up questioning the user’s maturity, because most people are not able to make the settings on the device correctly anyway.
I really wonder how far we’ve come, Sorry guys but that really can’t be the case. Of course, some people will come back and say that my comparison with the automobile industry cannot be made because it is not the same, but that is exactly how I feel:
Would someone buy a car with all possible settings if the salesperson told you that you can tune to any station on the car radio, but you can only play music from the USB stick if the passenger seat heating and air conditioning are set to 23.4° C is set.
Addendum:
The following statements are not correct.

No longer available with Entertainment OS 4.0
- The magazine view in the TV guide has been disabled due to low usage.
- The display of recordings without images has been deactivated due to low usage.

“Are disabled” implies that it simply needs to be re-enabled when the demand arises, but these options have not been disabled but deleted. Otherwise SC wouldn’t have to say you can’t go back.
Original picture by @Yves85….looks bluish here in the picture
Light gray for me…. (on 2 different TVs)
in your case the highlighted letter is light blue?
So that we understand each other correctly: at the top of the letter selection bar, the one marked is also light blue for me, but Yves85 does not show the series of letters…

Just this much on this point:
A few years ago in our company there was a road tour of work physiologists who analyzed the workplaces on site (adjustment of the chairs, height and inclination of the screens, image settings of the screens,…).
The result: Around 80% of the screens were set incorrectly.
When I visit relatives and friends, I always notice that the screens are set very wrong. If you ask people about the reasons, I always hear the same statement: “I haven’t changed anything in the settings, i.e. I left the settings the way the device was delivered.” Now it’s the case that the default settings of most brands are as bright, bright and colorful as possible, but this is far from a natural representation. At the same time, people complain about stressed eyes and migraines….
Both of the examples described suggest that unfortunately most people don’t know what is good for their eyes and health until they are made aware of it.
The Replay Guide has clearly changed significantly in OS3.
Instead of specifying all replay options per category, only a maximum of 20 filtered options are displayed. By filtering out the possibilities remain almost the same day after day and that makes a huge difference in the offer.
I was able to notice it well because I had OS2 and OS3 running in parallel for a few days (updates moved to 2 boxes).
But if you now select, for example, “Comedy” (at the very top of the screen) and “most viewed films” you get practically the same list (25 offers) as in the Replay Guide. Films…Comedy (max 20 offers)
Why this duplicity?
SC could easily leave out the replay guide.
It doesn’t exist with TV Air on the cell phone either.
IN SHORT, THE TVGUIDE WAS A GREAT THING WITH OS2. FROM OS3 IT DOESN’T BRING MORE THAN WHAT YOU CAN ALREADY FIND.
THE POOR REMNANT IS STILL THERE. PROBABLY SO THAT YOU CAN’T SAY ANOTHER FEATURE IS GONE!

Regarding letters:
via the on-screen keyboard, which is displayed above, light gray letter, via FB keyboard No. 2-9 light blue
That was the solution to the puzzle. I’ve never used the letters on the FB keys 2-9… (I don’t think it’s particularly efficient either, since you have to keep looking at the FB. You can use the keys displayed on the screen “blindly”. ….)
And yes, in this case I find the blue letters in the input line to be very poorly contrasted

Thank you @Schlabi for clarifying. Yes, exactly, I meant the letter that appears when I type on the remote control using keys 2-9 (just like I used to write SMS ;-)).
I only now saw through you that the entire keyboard can be displayed.
Which is admittedly easier. Thank you!
PS: I’m surprised and pleased at how active the community is. I expected that nothing would happen for 2 days after asking ;-).
