Hm… the TV terms and conditions are very clear and unambiguous in point 4.2… the HD box is the property of Swisscom and that could then lead to a claim.

So if you get a replacement device from Swisscom (exchange in the event of a defect) or cancel the TV, then the HD box should be returned to Swisscom.

Anyone who sells these via Ricardo does so at their own risk of receiving a refund or replacement claim. This is tantamount to stealing stolen goods.

Found here: [https://www.swisscom.ch/content/dam/swisscom/de/res/public/rechts/bb- Fernsehen-en.pdf](https://www.swisscom.ch/content/dam /swisscom/de/res/public/Rechts/bb- Fernsehen-en.pdf “TV Service Description / General Terms and Conditions”)

It is also well known that Ricardo doesn’t give a damn about aiding and abetting stolen goods. The platform could simply block the sale based on the name. But it is better to run a complex abuse process for each offer that is posted. It is clear which financial interests Ricardo prefers to pursue. Very questionable…what business practices.

It’s like investing in a dead horse…

At least no additional electronic waste is created, the HD Box dongle will continue to work with the UHD Box.

By the way, here you can read how Swisscom occasionally ensures that even the younger horses become lame. In the case described, the work-around was: Connect the USB dongle from the HD box to the UHD box!
