Constant logout from TV Air (Web & Mobile)

    It has been mentioned a few times here and there in the TV Air forum, but nowhere in a corresponding thread, and you can hardly find any information on this topic. So here’s one to make it clear.

    There seems to be a problem for a long time (it feels like July/August) that you are automatically logged out of TV Air after a few days (it feels like between 2-4). The checkmark “Stay logged in” has no effect. So you have to constantly log in again, which gets a bit annoying after a while. Many people no longer know what they originally set as their password. At the moment I can only confirm it for the Swisscom login. I don’t know what the situation is with mobile logins (Infinity or inOne with SMS token) or free logins (Facebook or mobile without a TV subscription).

    In any case, @EdgarJ has it under [Live TV and new SC update TV Air](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/TV-Air/Live-TV-und-neues-SC-update-TV -Air/td-p/547724) mentions that the problem is known to SC and is being processed. I think it would be nice if there was an update here.

      Das Logout-Problem bei WebTV wurde in der aktuellen Version 3.1.42.1 behoben (seit 1.11.).

      Sollten dennoch Fälle auftreten stellt bitte sicher dass ihr euch ab dem 1.11. neu eingeloggt habt.

      Bei bestehenden Logout-Problemen auf iOS oder Android meldet euch bitte hier. Danke.

    TV Air almost drives us to despair. We have to log in again every few days. And we don’t actually watch any paid content. We activate the iPad with Swisscom TV and on the PC via login. This means that exactly 4 logins are allowed. But it only works for a few days…

    Since the new update it has become very difficult anyway. It takes forever to log in again and very slow for recorded programs. Menu sluggish and often hangs!

    Please do not use this thread as a repository for all other problems that are sufficiently mentioned in other threads. This is all about the login, or Logout topic.

    Some users seem to have the problem often, others less or never. The goal here is to find out what makes the difference. @SamuelD mentions the number of registered devices in another thread. This leads me to conclude that the problem only or sooner occurs when you have registered many devices and activated them for encrypted content. Or it turns out that it is independent of it. There may also be useful tips for SC.

    I feel the same way too. It feels like every time I start TV Air in the browser (Win 10, Firefox) I have to log in again. In addition, I always lose the previously set channel list (this then has to be selected again each time).

    Oh yes, I get encrypted channels from TC but I only reported one browser.

    Interesting that the channel list is gone when you log in. Like login information, this is stored within cookies of the respective browser. This leaves two reasons open:

    1. The cookie was deleted by the browser (whether automatically via settings or manually)

    I think that this can be ruled out here, unless someone no longer knows that they had it set that way.

    2. The cookie and the information about the login/channel list would basically still be present in the browser, but are no longer valid/invalidated.

    That seems to be the case to me because the counterpart to (key) validation is at the TV platform level and, as we know, all devices including mobile devices are affected.

    @SC, maybe a useful hint…

    Thanks for the tip, the reminder.

    I checked Firefox’s own settings and Cookie AutoDelete again. All cookies, including those from third parties, are accepted in the browser and are not deleted when you leave Firefox. In the Cookie AutoDelete I have the various SC domains on the whitelist (also in Ghostery). So the same settings as before the update, where these problems did not exist.

    In addition, I subject my computers to a “multi-layered service” every month, where, among other things, all browser data (cache, cookies, etc.) is completely deleted.

    Thanks for the info. Accordingly, the invalidation of the cookie must come from the platform.

    Question to everyone: is that just me or is there the same or at least similar problem here in the forum? I haven’t been logged in today since my last feedback. Click on login and then it worked again immediately, without entering User/PWD. Aka the cookie is still valid. Just as input based on this topic…

    Under iOS I have had the problem with the unstable login to the forum platform (regardless of which browser) since the new forum was introduced. Doesn’t seem to be solvable either.

    However, I cannot judge whether the two Swisscom login problems are related.

    As far as we can determine, the problem no longer occurs on the iOS app with the current version. If anyone notices anything different, please get in touch.

    With Web-TV the error has been narrowed down to such an extent that an early solution is in sight. However, I can’t say anything about the time horizon yet.

    Are we talking about app version 3.0.1? I installed it on my iPhone and I’m still having problems with my downloads simply disappearing. The AppStore doesn’t show me a newer version.
