This doesn’t necessarily have to be the cable, it can also be the connection between the Internet box and the TV-Box if, for example, is connected via WLAN or D-LAN (Powerline) instead of a LAN (Ethernet cable).
An incorrect switch can also cause a problem.
Because of this, it is important when questions are asked that you also specify the type of installation available.
Installationen, Netzwerk, Internet, Computertechnik, OS Windows, Apple und Linux.
Dear Walter B
Thanks for the message. As a complete technical layman, I know nothing about Powerline, Ethernet, Switch…actually zero 🙂
I immediately googled it 🙂
This was also explained to me in such a way that it doesn’t necessarily have to be the cable…but it is a rather well-known problem that could be easily and easily solved with a new HDMI cable.
I wish you a good day.

Dear Walter, thank you very much for your detailed answer. You’re right, the details should be included if there is a problem 👍
My TV box is connected to the SwisscomBox with an Ethernet cable. I also connected a new HDMI cable during commissioning.
When the problems occur, they occur suddenly. The image then flickers, turns slightly pink and is sometimes completely gone. If I then restart the TV box 1 or 2 times, it worked again afterwards. But it’s a bit annoying to have to restart the TV box often. Swisscom said my box was fine. 👀
I might try using a new HDMI cable, but I don’t need more than one cable and don’t necessarily want to spend money on it.
Would it probably be best to call Swisscom again?

Hello Beate26
For us it was the HDMI cable. Swisscom sent us a cable. It’s been working perfectly since then 🙂 It’s best to contact support.Greetings Meli2
Thanks Meli 2 for the answer and tip. I installed a new HDMI cable when I started using it. I’ll call support again. I’m glad it’s working for you now 🍀
