Top Content Stars

When I watch my recordings on my TV, I noticed stars at the top ranging from 1 to 5.

What does this mean and how are they assigned?

Otherwise the new design is better than the previous one and ensures better visibility.

THANKS

Alex

@LeylaG

Good morning,

In this vein I asked, a few weeks ago already, a question concerning the hearts of favorites which disappeared with the introduction of OS3.

The choice of “Personalized Recommendations” is still possible under OS3, but is it still useful?

“Now on TV” (when is it displayed on the window!?) gives the first 25 channels of the chosen list, without giving any explanation about the show when hovering over it. There’s really no point if it doesn’t take preferences into account!

“the most watched films” (that was good information) are gone!

The list of Replay proposals has been reduced (to around 20 proposals) especially if we choose 2 languages for the programs (20 proposals in one language + 20 proposals in the other = 20 proposals in both???? ).
moreover the explanations are incorrect: no more countries and above all still from the year 2017!

and so on!!!

OS3 is very poor with the HD box. Is it better with the UHD box?

I would be very grateful if you deign to respond!

Thanks in advance,
kind regards

JP Feron

Hello @Jean-Pierre_Feron

Thank you for your comments.

I regret that you are not completely satisfied with OS3. I imagine our developers plan to make regular improvements to give you the best possible experience. We probably also need a little time to get used to this new interface.

You can find the “Most watched films” by selecting “Films”, under “My themes”.

Concerning the default production year 2017 for all Replay programs, this is a problem that has already been identified. However, for technical reasons, its resolution is planned for the 2nd quarter of 2018.

I have forwarded your other observations to our TV team.

Cordialement,

Hello @LeylaG

Thank you for your response which however makes me fear the worst!

I’m afraid to understand that it will be the same for the other bugs and inconveniences of the OS3 TV Guide and that we must plan to live more than 3 months with this runt.
At least with the HD box? are the results better with the UHD box?

If this were the case, it would be high time for Swisscom to take action:
- perhaps to give the possibility to return to the previous version or
- if operation with Box UHD is better, to offer UHD boxes (free and not at a discount at 59.–F!) or
- a commercial gesture such as a price reduction to compensate for the inconvenience.

Perhaps Swisscom will find another solution? (we can dream!)
Kind regards

PS: even at my age and despite the lack of help in the surface we can very easily get used to the surface of OS3.
The problem is certainly not there.
We have no intérêt to have beautiful background images under the “Films” or “Themes” proposals:
we have the impression that the developers gave themselves to computer masturbation, as beginners do, instead of devoting themselves to the essential: giving the right information at the right time*.

It’s also not a matter of “imagining that the developers have planned to make improvements”. we should realize that there is an emergency!

* Could you explain what criteria applies to the choice of films/shows appearing under the different lists.
Why are the first 25 stations in the list chosen under “now on TV”: it’s ridiculous.
Why are there only 20 films in the replay film offerings in one language and also only 20 bilingual films?
